DYS 11 TX, can it run deviation? was created by Fernandez
This could be a dirt cheap throw it around Frsky TX running deviation. Would it be possible?

Not as is. The CPU only has 64KB of flash, which is half what the 7E has in it, and that's already so limited we can't fit everything on it. You might be able to do an mcu upgrade to the 128K version, but I don't think the 256K version to run full deviation is available in the 48-pin package.

I also don't see any external memory for model storage, etc. So you may need to add that as well.

I do see a CC2500, which is useful. But there's also an RFX2401C, which may well cause issues with it (I'm not an RF guy). But if you wanted to get the other three RF modules to use and still use the onboard CC2500, you'd need individual modules or a custom PCB. I'd recommend using a 4-in-1 instead.

At this point, all you're using from the original Tx is the display (assuming it's possible) and the various inputs. It's basically become a case for a DIY deviation Tx build. Good price for that, though.

If using frsky protocols only, and advanced gui only, do you reckon deviation could be stripped back enough? I don't use frsky yet, but I know a few quad guys that use it exclusively and could be very interesting to them.

You could likely drop an F3 in there. The F3 is pretty much a drop in replacement for the F1.

I think it is only, cc2500 + rfaxis pa/lna, so it is a full power frsky tx.

To me there is no NRF2401 chip.

Removing protocols doesn't help, as the 7E version has already moved them out of flash and loads the one being run into RAM.

Since there's no place for a file system, you could strip out all the fs code and anything that loads values, and just create one model that's you're going to fly in the code. But, ugh.
