Deviation it is super, I never ahd any control related issues and still stongly believe a control of the RF over SPI is the best solution out there, beter than Taranis with module via pxx etc.

And I hope that the hall gimbals will be available for the current release

A simple lock nut (M3) will also do the trick, no glue needed.

Hello there,

After lurking this thread for some weeks, I jumped in and bought the jumper (pun intended). Finally I did received mine today and so far I have noticed:
  • the battery rack is installed (and I can confirm the Turnigy 1600 to be a nice fit)
  • the USB port is the accessible one
  • it beeps in addition to vibration,
  • the installed firmware is the specific T8SG build dated from the 05/10 (special thanks to vlad_vy on that)
Should I update it first thing?

If they can give good price for beta testing, please let us know. I have this T8SG, Devo 7E and Devo 12E. Thanks.

IMHO :
  • Beta testing should not imply payment from the tester, but should be seen as a gracious opportunity for the brand to have dedicated and motivated ressources in their team.
  • And should a payment be done to guarantee the "motivation" from the maker POV, it should be clear that the testers will be upgraded and receive the final product in the end as an acknowledgement of their efforts.
Those are the only win-win scenario I could think of and see as acceptable.

Jumper tried to install a 2.4 inch OLED to Devo7E , but it doesn't work , can anyone help to build a correct firmware?
They follow this post :
www.deviationtx.com/forum/7-development/...-screen?limitstart=0
and try to modify LCD.C , but they failed.

I've activated them manually.
Please tell them to try to log in.
If they can't, I'll need to put them on the white list...

Jumper's first batch of T8SG analog/digital hall sensor gimbals and Walkera DEVO hall sensor gimbals will be released at end of November , of course these upgrade kits will send to Deviation developers for further testing.

Just got my Jumper T8SG, manual indicated to have my firmware updated which I did (10-27).

I was about to bind my drone when observed that both aux4 and aux5 didn't respond in the channel monitor.

Is it a firmware issue (wasn't able to test the old one) or is it a hardware issue? Or am I just missing something.

Any info would be helpful before I send it back.

Thank you

When creating a new model AUX4 & AUX5 pots aren't mapped to any channel, that's up to you to program that in the mixer page.

When creating in the mixer page, the switches are detected when you are at the source but aux 4 and aux 5 aren't picked up.

Ah ? I've just checked on mine and it's working fine, they're picked up automatically.
I'm running a firmware I built ~2 weeks ago ( here ) but it shouldn't be different.
Try it anyway, if it doesn't work either, then open your transmitter and check the connections.

First, try calibrate knobs along with sticks, and report result.
