Thank you thank you thank you.

Calibration of the sticks and knobs made them work!

I have one trouble using my new T8SG with an silver dual H8 mini. I seem to only get ~30% throttle while at max stick movement on the TX (the quad barely reach a few cm off the ground). I don't find wich parameter I should tweak to get the full range (I also have ~20% deadzone at start on the TX stick movement). I've try different mixer configurations, but doesn't have much success. What should be the usual settings?

Have you calibrated your sticks?

Yup. The interesting (& missing from my previous message) point is it did get tracks line since I calibrated the sticks.
But as I'm a beginner in Deviation, be sure to ask every question even the simplest ones. I might have not cover all the basics settings, or mis-set some.

Do you see +-100% movements on the channel monitor?

Should fairly easy...
Once connected will work with stock Walkera firmware and Deviationtx with few minor changes to initialisation code for screen but with no changes works.

My best guess as to not working is your using 3 wire serial not 4. Info posted not clear to me 'BS0' is missing but BS1, BS2 is shown.
Odd need to set all 3 for correct interface I2c, Serial 3/4, 8080 and 6800.

Pins 10,11,12 are BS0 BS1 BS2
For 4 wire serial they need to go to ground.

SadSack is absolutely right. I found a display already wired for 4-wire SPI.

Also, I would be wary about exact controller used. Are you sure it's SSD1309, not SSD1306? I've seen a discussion mentioning that it's often the case - incorrect marking of the product.

I found couple of these screens on eBay, but they promise them by the end of November only, otherwise I would connect it to my TX and try to adapt the code.

THIS IS AMAZING NEWS! I've been touting this TX on the Tiny Whoop and Rotor Riot FB groups and people are very excited for these gimbals! I also think that once there are Hall's for the DEVO, it will be a game changer for Spektrum folks. Everyone that I've shown my Devo 10 to is amazed at how nice it is for the price...if it had Halls, even the Taranis guys would pay attention. ;)

Looking forward to getting both for my T8SG and DEVO 10!!

OK, I found it closer, but slightly more expensive. They promise it here by Nov 6. Tell me, are you - norulers - interested in me buying it and helping you with the code?

I first got my oled running using uno + u8glib from I took initialisation code and transferred over to divinationTX
Does support ssd1309 so like for a simple value change.

BS1 BS2 Need to go to ground for 4 wire serial
3 wire serial not available on ssd1309

No, only 50% on channel 3 (throttle). Also the mixer graph was also alphed. I could only had 50% of it.
I did a new calibration again following your message, but this time I literally followed the instruction (center all sticks) even for throttle. On first calibrations I always let the throttle at min level.
This was my mistake, litteraly all the channel need to be on mid position. Thanks for your questions, it helped me find the issue!

That is brilliant news, dc59!! Very exciting! :cheer:

Any chance that early purchasers of the T8SG could have access to this first batch as well? I think I was one of the first people to pre-order the TX on BG. And I received the first version with the inaccessible USB connector.

Following Vlad's posting on sw9 (SWG) and sw10 (SWH) connections, I have two shoulder switches now working on the T8SG. The notes on where to pick up the signals on existing board/switch locations was very helpful. To get it to work, I had to reverse the diodes so the cathodes (black stripe) connects to the switch posts. With that, all the switches work great.

ramunas, thank you, I fixed my posts about sw9 (SWG) and sw10 (SWH) connections.

Can you post the image of internals?

My second T8SG is at one step from my post office, so I will try to mod T8SG soon.
