I put long handle switches on SWB & SWC. My fingers hit if I pinch the sticks.
Maybe it depends on hand size and pinch style?

I'm a "thumber" though, and the long handles make it a lot easier to flip those inner switches while keeping the thumbs on the sticks. ;)

vlad_vy wrote: Warning!!!

With "Jumper T8SG V2 Plus" there is RF noise to Hall sensor wires problem. It depends from used protocol and output power. The simple solution is to unplug wires, twist the wires to protect them from electromagnetic interference and plug them back in.

Can this be related to the interference I'm having in FPV after binding tx and receiver (different whoops, different cameras, different channels, same problem)?

Hello people of deviation.
Im almost on the way to get a jumper radio but i dont know wich One to choose.
I read a lot about the Plus hall gimbals and OLED screen that is not very good in direct sun light.
About the gimbals, i cant find anything showing that the V2 are indeed diferent from the v2 Plus, but at the product description both says "Rocker way: non-contact 3D space vector Hall joystick".
Basically i dont know wich one to choose in between Hall gymbals over good LCD viewing in direct sun light.
About the firmware, its the same and compatible one the V2 fw and V2 Plus fw?
Hope someone can guide me and help me to decide for the best.
Thank you and sorry my english

Favor better gimbals, you won't be looking at your screen that often while flying ;)

Has anyone hacked a module bay mod on the t8sg v1 ?

There are several printed module bays on banggood and co for the lite transmitters and it seems not to be that much of a problem to solder these loose wires to the pcb, but I don't really know where to start and it would be reassuring if someone already had done it before.
It would be nice to have the t8sg as a spare for a r9m module.

What would the module do that the T8SG doesn't do anyway?

@vlad_vy

Does anyone know if the P42 pin listed on this post is for PPM in or out?

Thank you,
Ian

Yes, it's for PPM in and out. When PPM is selected as the protocol it's the output pin for PPM. For other protocols that are not serial protocols, it can be used as PPM In for things like master trainer.

Other serial protocols also use this pin for output - PXX, CRSF, SBUS, SUMD. Can't use these with PPM In.

I got my JumperTX T8SG, it's completely same as Jumper T8SG V2 Plus with black body, LCD screen and USB Type C. It can use Deviation t8sg_v2 firmware.

Some interesting things:
* with factory firmware "errors.txt" file has error record,
* after flashing custom firmware based on v5.0.0 release, filesystem completely disappeared and USB drive can't be read, I need format transmitter USB drive and write v5.0.0 filesystem.

Interesting transmitter and thanks for sharing.

Did you mean t8sg_v2 or t8sg_v2_plus firmware? If v2, are there any features missing from this transmitter compared to jumper's v2 plus?

It use "t8sg_v2" firmware. Both "t8sg_v2" firmware and "t8sg_v2_plus" firmware have the only difference - LCD or OLED driver.

Hi Vladimir, in the current builds the power button needs to be pressed 3seconds to power off. Great !!!

But is it possible also to power on by pressing 3seconds, so it cannot accidentally switched on and drain batteries? And could we have a beep, at power down when we can loose the button?

(and I always hate/annoys me in this transmitter the enter button to be the big left button, the back button the top left, or is it just me who always accidentally press wong button? )

Strange that it says "voice support" in banggood but it does not seem to have voice support really...

Tested delayed "Power On", but I'm not sure I like it. I personally prefer fast "Power On".

About power down beep, do you try to use "PwrDn alert" at Transmitter config?

I also prefer instant on. It has never happened to me that it turn on inside of the case.

Ah good one, "PwrDn alert", will look into that, not tried that.

For power on and off, at least al transmitters I am aware, with a "software" on/off switch, there is a protection mechanism. Either pushing two buttons, either having a long press etc.

But yes open for discussion, protect for switch accidentally off, indeed is most important and is covered now.
