There are too many models available to track, and half of them keep changing protocol with every new batch.
Protocol is the thing to keep track of, and there still seems to be new protocol releases.

In addition there are quite many recent models having the RF and MCU housed in the same chip and the SPI bus is not exposed. This makes hacking almost impossible.
Another issue is that many unknown transceiver chips have been deployed and without proper datahseets the developers cannot determine if they can be emulated.

Post SPI captures and/or send new models+tx to devs if you want new protocols (without any guaranty tho ;))
Some models with RF+MCU housed in the same IC are still hackable, I did a couple of them at the beginning of the year. Some are harder (eg Furybee F36).
I see an issue tho, more and more models are using LT8910/LT8920, these radio ICs are not supported by deviation and can't be emulated by another radio as easily as the xn297 with nrf24l01 for example (low baudrate, manchester or other encodings, arbitrary seed whitening ...)

Anyway, as you can see, the protocol development sub-forum is still active :)

Also, the list in the wiki is not up to date (partially my fault ...)
This spreadsheet has more models / protocols listed:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nBHzT3VW...kHn1RIM84/edit#gid=0
But that's not fine, I agree everything should be in the wiki & manual ... Anyone with a bit of time in his hands for some secretary work ? ;)

Where I was going with I agree about the inability to electronicly tap into tranmitters, but they all have one pin in common...... The antenna. Develop a device that works much the ssme as a learning remote. If the receiver in quad can translate a sequence to digital cmds then receive em to computer thruogh proper reciever, Im sure that each of the receiver types have some wherr exposed where the signal can be recovered?

That's what a SDR does, but that's not that simple ;)

I search for SDR and is there a special new thread for this to give the skinny on it?

No, that's not as simple as using a logic analyzer, quite a bit of work is required to demodulate the signal and to decode the packets.
