Frsky new receivers (XM+ R-XSR) and old Devo7e?

Hello! After a couple of years of stop, I am going to play with drones again and I'd like to know the development status of the deviation firmware for my old devo7e for the frsky protocol (it seems widely used now). I have the CC2500 module installed, but don't know if it is fully compatible (or the latest firmware is fully developed or if my devo7e is limited in some hardware way) with the new XM+ and R-XSR receivers features or if some can't be used with my old devo7e.

The telemetry received in the 7e is limited, but the RC control is the same as the other transmitters. See the protocols chapter in the user manual for details of the differences.
