automated "TX power " reset.

A small question to the developers about this topic.
I´ve been on the airfield this weekend after the winter and I’ve reduced the output power to 1mW to perform a range check.
After that I continued the preparation for takeoff.
As you can imagine, I’ve not switched back to 100mW. After 150meter the plane crashed.
I know, some other vendors than DEVO have different solutions for this problem.
Some switch back to full power after a TX cycle (off/on) . Rater useless if you go out right after the test.
Another solution is to switch back to full power after 90 seconds.( I think FUTABA)
Now the question.
I think about a function assigned to the throttle stick. ( Mode 2 and Mode4)
Throttle lower than -70 (e.g.) = power can be reduced. / Throttle above -70 = full TX power.
Is there a simple way to implement this a 12 S ( V5.0) ?
Best regards
Achim

THX for the quick reply.
@ aMax :Sorry. No telemetry RX used. It´s been an "old" DEVO RX .
@hexfet: Yes. That´s a good question.
I have to be honest. I don´t know what’s realy behind this function.
I always thought you can use this function only together with a telemetry RX.
Right?

That is a leftover from mwm when he joint the crew, sorry Mike.....
I never used this function because I have no feedback for RSSI , LRSSI, LQI when it is active.
At least on my 7e and frsky receivers, I always decreased the power output to minimum for a test.
edit:
...to 100uW, what ever it stands for at different modules /protocols.
Two times I forgot to switch back and my brave 7e started beeping. Range was 150m.....

OK. Sounds to be a good solution if you are on the field.
You getting a message if TX power is not 100% right before takeoff
OK. Might work.
Another scenario is, if you are at the workbench to fiddle some stuff.
Sometimes I run the TX for hours and therefore I have reduced the power to.
You would have a constant beep while this time.
Cheers

Now it´s clear to me . r.t.f.m (read the f... manual)
I have already seen this years ago but in the moment on the airfield I have forgotten how to use it.
A very good explanation of the relationship between transmission power and the distance.
But I still struggling with my English so I have a short question again.
In the manual I have found a sentence I cannot completely understand.
“The installed RF module used for the current model must have a PA”
What is “PA” ??
best regards to all

In your second video I have seen a "construction" mounted at the top of your antenna.
Is it a coil or something to increase the signal strength?
cheers

PA = power amplifier = Leistungsverstärker = "Endstufe".
Es gibt auch eine deutsche Anleitung

Yes it does....its a dipole antenna, the only one this receiver has. (F802)
The other one has two simple whiskers (diversity), one vertical and the other on horizontal ( in the fuselage) (F82DA).
The antenna setup is the most important part on every of my builds....
....you see, the plane survived a 100uW launch.

Unbelievable such a high sensitive 8CH RX for some coins?
ALIEYPRESS shipping out for 14 bugs !
Have found this one :
www.superior-hobby.com/rxf802-8ch-twoway...-x8r-d8r-p-1112.html
1.18Km in “dirty” HF environment of a city is mentionable.
I should give him a try . I have DEVO12S with 4in1 so I can run a FRSKY TX.
OK. I think , this weekend I will repeat the range check with my “remaining” birds .
@Moeder: Ach du Gott. So einfach war das??? Na da bin ich in dem Kontext nicht drauf
gekommen. Hab mir die Anleitung gerade ausgedruckt.Gruß und Dank
Thx to all and keep DEVIATION alive !
Cheers

www.banggood.com/DIY-RX-F802-8CH-Receive...rch&cur_warehouse=CN
For good results you will have to flash the firmware from here (with an UBS ASP 3.3V type !!!)
www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2...-FrSky-TX-RX-Modules
The pwm signal/ppm is ok, but you should keep in mind, that the sbus signal is not invertet.( none standart)
So it was good for older flight controllers F1and F3 but not for F4.
In addition the voltage sensor covers only 3S without mod.
This one is my preferred cheap D8 rx now.
