It depends how many other components are damaged. To much damage it is not worth it, good for trash or maybe some spares.

If you read other links you will see at least one other person who connected 3s lipo also fried rf module. If you fried reg and mcu (STM32) there is every chance you also fried rf module, flash memory maybe touch screen controller and other parts.

I sure hope you didn't and changing out reg fixes it.

FWIW I do have ST-Link programmer for installing bootloader, and can upgrade to Deviation etc.
