Jumper T8SG V3 PLUS - will not start, clicking was created by Aliboyx
Hi Community
I have a T8SG V3 plus, it has been my goto tx for the last 2 years, love it.
This weekend I was sat on the sofa playing a simulator with it, when it just stopped working and started making a low clicking sound via the speaker, with about a 2 hz frequency.
Now when I turn it on, it clicks all the time as described above with the red and the green light both illuminated. The LCD remains black. Pressing the return button turns it off.
I have just tried to get it connected to the computer to re-flash the firmware, it cannot be communicated with.
The only thing I can think of is that because I had the module bay empty with the pins exposed that maybe some static electricity has wondered in through the pins in the back and fried the chip??
Has anyone has this failure mode?
All the best from a sunny Denmark,
Alistair

I've had it before.
The screen was also black and did not respond to the buttons.
I was able to fix this by connecting it to the computer and installing the firmware

Thanks v_nebe
Did your transmitter also have the clicking sound, it's like the cpu is powering up then restarting constantly.... I cannot get it stable so the computer can see for firmware upgrade.
I will try and get an oscilloscope on the power circuit tonight.
I think I might be going down a road that ends with...
1. scrapping the tx
2. Fault finding and replacing the chip, if that's possible?
3. unknown solution.
All the best,
Alistair
