Devo 6S/8S as USB joypad ? was created by HornetMaX
Hi all,
out of curiosity, anyone knows if a Devo 6S/8S connected to a PC via USB is recognized as an input device (i.e. like a 2 sticks joypad) ? Are the switch working ?
With the original firmware ? With Deviation ?
MaX.

Certainlynot with the original firmware.
I've had this request for Deviation. I'll probably do it some-day, but it is not there now.
Also, you can't make it work just by powering on with USB connected. The Devo8 odes not have the ability to sense a USB plug event.

Thanks for the info.
Just to give a bit of context, I've been testing a few gamepads for a motorbike simulation game(*) and the quality of their analog sticks if often far from good.
MaX.
(*) GP Bikes
A hell of a game, hands down the best bike simulator, physics is top notch.
All the more impressive when you know this is a one man project.
Demo is free and playable (1 bike, 1 track, no online but no other limitations), but be ready for a very frustrating experience: it's really a simulator.
