did you palce the filesystem in the proper location? Those messages seem to indicate the filesystem wasn't located.

I thought so; I've tried
(root)/filesystem/devo7e/(media etc)
(root)/filesystem/(media etc)
(roo)/(media etc)
also tried putting protocol in various locations, all with the same result
My previous (working) setup was
(root)/filesystem/devo10/(media etc)
(root)/filesystem/devo7e/(media etc)

There seems to be a bug in the release. It still is looking in devo10 I believe.

I just simply renamed the filesystem folder from devo7e to devo10, and it seems to now be working (at a quick flick-through)

Ordered a A7105-500m module and received a XL7105-DO3.
I believe these are compatible modules, correct?

I just installed the 3.0 firmware on my Devo 7E, it is working with my Ladybird v2.
I measured the output power of the Tx with the original firmware and the Deviation as well. The power is the same, about 4mW. For reference, my Futaba and Frsky radio both have 40mW output.
While this 4mW is more then enough for normal piloting, it's low for FPV. I installed a 200mW 5.8GHz video Tx to the Ladybird, the video range is far longer, the RC range is only about 100m.
(the claimed 500m range maybe true for a normal receiver but not even close for the Ladybird)
I ordered a 8s module, I think it's easier to build in the modul then trying to increase the power of the existing one.
Screenshots of the Hameg spactrum analyzer:

I modified the the buil-in module using this instructions:
www.deviationtx.com/forum/3-feedback-que...-7e-for-better-reach
thanks Mullson for the idea.
Success, the output power is ten times more, about 60mW, it's even more then the power of my full range Futaba and Frsky radio.
There is a 10dB attenuator on the spectrum analyzer to protect the input, so add 10 dB to the value on the picture, the real power is 18dBm.

Installed 3.0.0 release on my Devo 7E. Have two questions:
- Does it support model switching? If yes how to: see models list, switch models?
- How to use templates? - could't find "Templates" section in the "Model setup" menu

Have you looked at the user manual which you can download from the home page Menu section?

Yes, I read it several times and there was nothing mentioned about these topics. The manual is not 7E specific, like you can see even the title is 'Deviation10UserManual'. STFG too.
The videos on YouTube all showing touch screen interface, but Devo 7E does not have that features (touch screen, multiply models, templates etc.), that's why I'm asking here (thought there is something 7E specific, like the different .ini file format).

Thanks rbe. Helped a lot. Interesting is, that it is displaying only the models in the new .ini format - I have model[1-30], but it's displaying only the first one, because it is in the new format. Hm, or it is just checking if the file contains 'name=...' line...Never mind. thanks a lot again.

It should show all, but only the first or those you have configured will have a name set.
When you update to other deviation versions you should always
- save your models to pc
- copy the model files delivered with the newly installed versions to "models/"
- restore your models (but only those which are configured, not the empty models) to the tx (if you restore the empty models too they might not contain new parameters / defaults)

And specially for 7E - restore 'protocols/' directory too

Just make sure you have the latest V3.0 manual, looks like you have an older version, as the latest says Devo7e/10:

Just noticed something as i was setting up my zyx-s on my 450.
The channel output isn't stable from the Devo 7e. It keeps fluctuating +-1 in the zyx-s channel monitor setup screen.
Now this could be my orangerx receiver, so i decided to connect my Devo 7E to the computer, and its even worse in PhoenixRC , (the zyx has some rx deadband filtering).
Recording from Phoenix.
If i check the channel output & stick input screens on the tx no values are changing, this should rule out bad pots on the sticks.
Is something wrong with my 7E? or is it a bug in the firmware?
Ill be flashing back to Walkera firmware later today, and check again in PhoenixRC.
Edit: wont be able to flash the walkera firmware today. The defuse tool has started crashing on my windows xp partition. And iv never gotten it to run under win7 x64.
Edit2: Channels are much more stable using the walkera fw. Only the throttle and pitch channels showed traces of instability. Cannot test against my Zyx-s heli for obvious reasons (dsm2).

I am still fairly new to the 7E (a few months). I've been using it to fly a Super CP and V2 Ladybird with the stock firmware but have reason to want the multi protocol support of Deviation soon. Do I understand correctly that there's no way to save my existing models created in the stock firmware when I upgrade? The manual says they'll be there just inaccessible but then later says for the 7E they'll get wiped. Is the only way to save my existing models to manually transcribe them before replacing the firmware?
