As I do more trouble shooting; I downloaded the nightly build and it's ok. When I did my build, I replaced the background bitmap... I'll retry my build with and without the bitmap to see if it's my build environment or the bitmap.

It must be my build environment, it messes up the fonts even if I don't change the bitmap. This is from a fresh clone of the repo. All I do is:
make TARGET=devo12 zip
make TARGET=devo12 fs
Should I make devo8 first?
