The module works ok? Have range problem??
The final connections for the Devo10 are this??

This is correct connection for DEVO10, it works fine with me, no any problem, the known issues for 3 in 1 : A7105 & nRF24L01 have no telemetry support duo to PA/LNA connection problem, for me it's no problem, I don't have any quad/protocol support telemetry by these two RF chip.

I bought first batch 3in1 module, I need to wire LNAEN to VCC, but I think you don't need to that, you should get new batch.

VeGani wrote: Hi, I just started with this hobby, and decided to order 3in1 module for my Devo 7E.
I've gone thru all information regarding installation of this 3in1 module, and found out some picture posted by others (Leo Li and dc59)

I would like to ask a few questions on Devo 7E pinout:

1. Which are the VDD pin, A or B or both? Is there any difference if 3in1 VDD soldered into pin A or B above? Leo Li use pin B, while dc59 use pin A.
2. Is there any difference if GND soldered to pin C or pin D? I read some information that someone experience frozen Devo 7E when he soldered A7105 to pin D, but then problem solved when he re-soldered GND to pin C.

Thanks in advance.

please find my devo7e connection pic. at this post:

I didn't find any problem about those 2 wiring method, you can find the wire on PCB , A connected to B, it's the same point !
and I had checked pin C & pin D with a multimeter, it's all GND, I have never met frozen issue.

I have tried searching and could not find any info. Has a 3rd location been identified for a chip select pin/pad for a 12s?

The GND wiring issue seems to be a Devo 10 issue. Putting in two or more extra modules taxes the power supply, which can cause "missing CYRF" message at boot. Using the CYRF GND seems to help with that. I don't recall seeing reports of such problems with the 7E.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Guys, don't be overly enthusiastic and don't underestimate the difficulties of hardware development. Even in China and even small (seemingly) review of the design is a complicated process. This guy heard us and will correct the mistakes. Nobody wants imperfect product, but it's a reality - first version of every product is flawed, even if it is issued by large company with separate QA department, not a single man operation. I personally bought 4 of these modules just to learn how they function and how they're designed. Many other people in this forum and on RCGroups did the same and figured deficiencies - they are known and they are being fixed. But it takes time.

3in1 A7105 LNA issue was fixed , but I don't know exactly date or batch (I will try to ask TaoBao seller to mark version number on board.),
but nRF24L01 LNA will take more time to redesign PCB,this is what I got from TaoBao seller.

I'll probably go with the standalone CC2500 RF modules I ordered for now and wait till it is proven to get a 3 in 1.

So far so good with my 3-in-1 from banggood (ordered first day they were available). I certainly don't regret the $26 purchase. I've not done extensive range testing but i've flown multiple models with all 3 radios in my Devo 7e with no problem. I'd say it's worth every penny+++. I'm waiting a few months however for the 4-in-1 JR module until it's tested/revised if possible.

I strongly agree the Taobao seller needs to start putting version numbers on these items!

I'm having horrible range issues with the A7105 section of the 3-in-1. I'm seeing only around 100ft (30m) of range at best!
I've done the VCC to LNA mod with a 1K5 resistor and that made absolutely no difference. Increasing the power output in the transmitter also make no improvement.

Does anyone have an idea of what may be wrong?

P.S. My 3-in-1 was the second batch and shipped on 4-22. It's installed in a Devo10 and running the latest nightly.
