I've got all the bits for a sound module but haven't gotten around to assembling, but this might be a catalyst; I'm trying to get my Focke-Wulf FW-190 operational, would be cool to have the alerts etc setup for German just for that particular modelMoeder wrote: While we are at it: I uploaded the large voice set in German language - enjoy!

Well, just remember that if you just upload this whole set to dfplayer and devo, you won't have any English announcements. But you could just take the interesting messages from the German set, rename the files with free ids and add entries to the englisch voice ini.

Hello
Here is the list of French translations ...
There are "expressions" that I do not understand (current draw; loitermode) but it does not matter.
If French people are interested, they will surely find the exact translation.
Good days

I'd love to see another video
Choose the latest nightly available, I'm not aware of any huge bugs which have shown up.

Hello
I installed the file "voiceFR-wide" as well as the last nightly build; Everything works or almost. I modified the mp3 file, there were inconsistencies; I no longer have the message "welcome" and the announcement of the battery voltage of the transmitter rings in loop as soon as I touch the touch screen.
Can the ad: "0008 finilareliure" be changed to: "0008 appairage terminé"
Thanks

Hi!
What inconsistencies did you find, what did you have to modify? Welcome message is known to be buggy. Can you explain a little more on the problem with battery voltage alarm? I will update 0008 in the next run I make.

Hello Moeder
I used my radio this weekend and the "welcome" works one shot out of 10. I no longer have the intense alarms of the transmitter voltage ??? (I had loaded it 100%).
On the other hand, the alerts of the timer work permanently (1min, 2min, 3min, 4min, 6min, 9min) without having programmed ???
For inconsistencies, I'll send them to you tomorrow.
It's time to go to bed

Hello Moeder
Here is my modified mp3 file because ads do not work or do not match their writing.
Another problem is that telemetry alerts (volt) are read in units; That is to say 10,5V is announced 1,05V ....

Sorry if I've missed anything, but from how I understand it with the current build once you enable sound you lose the capability of having PPM input/output?
Wondering if code could be added so if a model has PPM-out as the protocol, on loading the model it disables the sound system? Rather than having to edit the hardware file each time you want to disable it, eg. to use a buddy box?
[EDIT] Actually you'd need to check both Protocl and Inputs, so if you had anything feeding in (buddy box, external inputs) or feeding out (buddy box, external tx modules, etc)
Is the audio code included in vlad's builds, or only in the nightlies?

Of course voice out is automatically disabled whenever a model uses ppm in or out (except for devo12, where ppm goes on a different mcu pin and devo7e-256 users using uart5 - these can do voice and ppm at the same time).
Voice is not available in vlads build, but in nightlies.

Is voice stable enough now to ask vlad to include it in his builds? Seems that vlad's builds are the most stable version of current releases, nighlies may or may not have new inclusions that break stuff.Moeder wrote: Voice is not available in vlads build, but in nightlies.

Thanks to all involved in voice alerts builds, you have piqued my interest to make this for my devos,
This is my external test voice module.
I used this speaker from BG www.banggood.com/Loud-Buzzer-Ringer-Spea...G900V-p-1033038.html
The speaker is very small but seems to be loud and clear enough. Video with sound on youtube
From the usb socket I have hooked up the green & white wires to usb+ & usb- on the DFPlayer but this doesn't seem to work, do I need to connect the power or ground for usb to work?
Edit. I found the answer on page 4 of this thread, hooked up the ground to the usb socket and all works.

This is a good item for the WIKI. I like the idea of using the USB. Is there a significant drain on power or is it noticeable? In any case, if you'd like to add it into the WIKI, please feel free, and I would be happy to work with you to do the update.

I have done a first test with the external voice module on my Devo 12e with Hubsan X4.
So far everything seems to work except the telemetry alarm says zero point three two volts instead of three point two volts and there is no goodbye when shutting off the devo.
