Devo10 NRF24L01 Missing Module, Plz Help was created by caughron01
I bought a controller from a seller online and it has a couple of modules installed. The first module is the green board in the first picture it is the A7105, I was able to enable it with the following.

enable-a7105 = A13
has_pa-a7105 = 1

The other is a NRF24L01 module. I have tried A13, and A14

The problem I am experiencing is when I enable the NRF module is says, "Module Missing NRF24L01" I have installed 4.0.1 to 5 to the latest 5 nightly build and they all still say that my module is missing when I enable the NRF module.

The wiring is really hard to follow without really undoing it all. I am hoping with these images someone can tell me if that is really required.

I added all of the photos to photobucket to make it a little easier to upload I hope they are sufficient enough. Thanks for all the support here I appreciate it

If I missed something and you need more info please let me know, TIA.

I opened it up and the module connecting the two chips that runs to the board has a pretty sorry soldering job. Should I replace this piece and redo it?

It's difficult to find problem from those pictures, it's better to check every wiring about NRF24L01 module, maybe there is some connection problem, if you can redo all wiring job, that's the best way! :)

I believe that on the nRF module, pin 3 (CE - chip enable) should be jumpered to pin 2 (3.3v). That was the case for installations with FW version 4.01 and earlier that did not use a multi-module. I presume it's the same for Deviation v5.0 as well.

<Edit> You schema doesn't show any connection to pin 2 for power.

I was able to finally get it to bind by sitting and waiting. The signal is very poor it seems drone cant get but a few inches from controller then it drops. Also when it does seem to have signal, it sounds as if I am taking the throttle up and down very quick. The motors spin up then stop spin up then stop.

The CX-10c has the blue board and I changed my CX10 protocol to blue but still nothing. It just sits and says binding forever and nothing happens when I try to bind it.

This is the video of what it is doing.

It's not a good idea to presume that the connections for 4.0.1 and 5.0 are the same - they aren't for either the CC2500 or the A7105! They are for the NRF24L01, though, so yes, you do need that for 5.0.1.

And leaving it off will result in a serious range reduction. I missed that connection on my initial install as well, and adding it fixed the issue.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

My remotely piloted vehicle ("drone") is a yacht.

Is there a connection list for this somewhere to make sure I got all the right ones?

Controller - Devo 10
Modules - NRF24L01, XL7105-D03B
Software- deviation-devo10-v5.0.0-c6b19b1 Nightly Build

I used this chart in the picture for all my points of contact.
