Hi all,
Thanks to everyone who has contributed icons to this forum! I really appreciate it. I was able to fill up about half my models with the icons I found here. I spent most of this afternoon fighting with GIMP to figure out how to take a photo and create a bmp file from it that isn't too difficult to see. Included here are icons for:
120SR
www.deviationtx.com/media/kunena/attachments/1433/120SR.bmp
130X
www.deviationtx.com/media/kunena/attachments/1433/130X.bmp
MCPX

MCX Tandem Rescue

MQX

MSR

MSRX
www.deviationtx.com/media/kunena/attachments/1433/MSRX.bmp
Walkera YS8001

I hope that they're useful to someone.

Do you mean the pictures?
They are there, just some browsers can't show this bmp format.

Actually I've just checked, that Chrome is the only one, which can't display these pictures.
It suck, because I use Chrome...

Is there another way to attach messages? If so, I may just be missing it...
In other people's messages on this forum, their icons appear in the "Attachments" section at the bottom rather than in-line. I'd like to make sure that my icons are accessible to everyone.
I just went ahead and added direct URLs to the images. That way if your browser doesn't render the bmp files, you can at least still get to the image with the link.

+1. Good idea!
I just installed chrome on my notebook this moment (Version 30.0.1599.101 m on Win7-64). I can not see the images in teh first post, but I see placeholder for them and have a context menu for saving.

Yep, that's why you don't have to worry about the unrendered pictures: they can be downloaded from the context menu (i.e. the dropdown on right mouse click).
The images displayed inline if you click the insert button while attaching a file. If you don't press the insert button, they will be simply listed as attachments.
Inserting the pictures is the preferred method, because that way the users can see them easier, at least those who don't use Chrome...

I have read in the post from nucleo59 that they do not exist in the post for him (not visible and not downloadable).
If the placeholder are visible it is not as comfortable as it could be because you have to download the icons and view them outside of the browser...
I am quite sure that you can wheedle chrome with some good MIME settings to display the icons, but I don't know which.

IMO he just thought that they are not available, because in general browsers used to display a placeholder only if the file is not available...
These images have a correct MIME type (which is bmp), otherwise the forum engine wouldn't let them to upload.
They are indeed visible in other browsers like IE, Opera and Firefox...

Yeah, I just checked this forum thread with Chrome. By default, all of the pictures appear as "broken link picture" icons! Even if you click on them, the pop-up image viewer also shows them that way (e.g. broken).
At least if you right click and "Save As", the icons download just fine to your desktop and you can open them in the default image browser.
