Can't get the icon work... need help

Hi,

what format and bit and so do I need for a b/w Icon for a Devo 10? I tried everything, but this **** doesn't work.

Can you help me? I added my first try of a destroyer, but it doesn't work and I don't know why...

erm... I don't know, why it is blue... on my computer it's ab/w bmp...

Yes, I read it. But I thought these instructions were for color icons only?

also for the b/w.

The image size was not the required 52x36 pixels.
Download my attachment, open it with GIMP 2.8

Plug in your DEVO 10 USB to computer and enter into USB mode by holding the ENT button and switching on the DEVO. The DEVO screen will have a large USB logo on it.

In GIMP program:
File > Export As > Change file type to "Windows BMP image (*.bmp)" if it isn't already > Select the Drive letter that is your DEVO radio > > select the modelico folder > Click "Export" > A window will pop up, expand compatability options and select the "do not write color space information" box, expand advanced options and select the "16 bits R5 G6 B5" box > Click Export

I do it this way, as I have not had good luck with drag and drop between my computer and the DEVO.

I can't find the advanced option dialoge in gimp... when I say "export to" a window opens and I can set the filename.bmp and say "export". but no othe options... where is the advanced button?

Thank you. I first had to set picture mode to RGB. Now the options dialog appears correctly. Now it works. I made a new destroyer icon

the image was the right size. Work fine on my devo 10.
you get the options after you push the export button.

That's weird, it was the right size. I guess it changed when I saved it from a different program, it came out 52 x 37 for some reason.
Anyway, glad it is all figured out now.

As a side note, I just tried drag and drop, and it worked. Not sure why some times it doesn't for me.
