Actually no, it uses the same amount of energy, since the backlight is the same...EduardS wrote: ...and a big gain is that it uses less energy than the high contrast black on white skin.

With LCD, it is a bit more even, 'cause apart from the same backlight, more pixels (with the driver transistors) are needed to be activated... but it is sooo little difference
LCD: when active, covers the light coming from the backlight( = black or some colour means power use, white = no power use on a pixel)
LED: pixels emit the light themselves (black pixel = no power)
Happy New Year to all of you! Good job releasing v4!
Already on and under testing
cheers

You have to build your own library dfu file. It contains the "media" folder with all files inside in a FAT file system.Kdean wrote: I like the look of the darker skin. How can i get this for a devo12?
I am working to create a build-system independent method to create this library-dfu but I am not sure if I will succeed at last...
If you have a working build environment (MinGW under Windows) you can execute the attached script (in MinGW-Window) with executing "sh make-lib.sh WORKING-FOLDER" (in the src/-folder of the deviation repository).
The WORKING-FOLDER is the folder where you have put a copy the files in filesystem/devo12/media in a subfolder "media", e.g.
mkdir ~/make-lib
mkdir ~/make-lib/media
cp filesystem/devo12/media/* ~/make-lib/media/
sh make-lib.sh
