Do you have a wire connecting the 2 center pins on the switches?

Hello,
I wonder if the modification works with 1N4003 diodes?
Thank-you.

I used 1n4004 diodes (slightly higher voltage rating) and it works fine but the 1n4148 is a better choice.

Ok, so I think it must be good because the 1N4003 has a lower reverse voltage.
Thank-you

I just did the 3x2 switch mod.
Tried to modified modify the "hardware.ini" to "extra-switches=3x2" with notepad++,
but I don't see the new switches when i checked in Tranmitter menu-> Channel Monitro->Stick inputs.
I'm on the deviation-devo7e-v4.0.1-4fc5268 nightly.
I added the hardware.ini, hope someone can help, i really want to mod my tx succesfully.

Remove the semi-colon, should be:
extra-switches=3x2
not:
;extra-switches=3x2
extra-switches=3x2
not:
;extra-switches=3x2

Remove the semicolon in front of the switch line. It means that the line is commented out and not active.

You need to configure the switches in the modelx.ini files.

Tranmitter menu-> Channel Monitor->Stick input, then press lower left DN- button 4 times and then you should see SW A0, SW A1, SW A2, SW B0, SW B1, SW B2.

@gdenton I was already looking there, but there are no switches.
Do I realy have to configure the modelx.ini? Will try that tomorrow

I was not Able to find the model x.ini. Is it required to change it to let the switch mod work? Should i change the nightly to another version? Maby that works for my switch mod? I now use the latest.

The latest is correct. In my experience you do not have to modify the modelx.ini to see the switches. If you have the installed the switches correctly, and have removed the semicolon from the hardware.ini line, you can see them in the stick input screen. If that isn't working they are either not installed correctly or the hardware.ini file is wrong.
So can you please post your hardware.ini as installed now? Also, if you open up your transmitter, try to get good closeup photos of the wiring or switches and post them.

I've added pictures of my soldering, hope it's close up enough. I also added my hardware.ini as installed now. And I added a movie so you can see what's my tx showing. Hope you guys can help, really frustrating
For some reason i cannot upload any picture so I added links to the picture and the movie:

Hardware.ine should be:
;Only useful for transmitters with an after-market vibration motor
;enable-haptic=1

;switch_types: 3x2, 3x1, 2x2
extra-switches=3x2
[modules]
; there is no need to enable the cyrf6936 module unless

Damn, yes I know i have to remove the semicolon before extra-switches=3x2.
Now I'm confused, really don't know why there's a semi colon in this hardware Ini (I'm sure i deleted it;))
Will try to change this tonight
@TomPeer For sure I will copy your comment right into my hardware ini
Thx

OK, I search around but no luck. Sorry for the noob question.
How to install the "nightly builds"? I don't see a .dfu to use with the Upgrade Tool. I see the .exe file in the Nightly Build but I'm unsure what to do with it.
Thanks for the help.

If you have an .exe, you downloaded the emulator, not the actual transmitter firmware.
Download the one without "emu" in the name.
