Hello Everybody,
i jst have a question, I modded my devo 7e successfully with 2 Switches (2x3 ) on/off/on .
In the devo menu there are as well. i can see them in the channelmonitor, and they are working.
Now i want to use them for my mcpx and genius cp.
But i dont know how to put some function on them.
For example i want to use one as a fail safe, or to switch different Expo/DRs for Rudder or Elevation.
It would be great if someone has an example for me.
Kind Regards
Jens

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

This is just basic Devo programming, and depends on which GUI you are using, or the Mixer type in the advanced gui. If you're using the standard GUI (which is really for Flybarred CP helicopters), use the Switch Assignment menu and just assign them.
In the advanced GUI, you can simply use a switch as a source, which will then have the value of 100 in that switch position, and -100 otherwise. If you're using an Expo&DR mix type, then you'll have two switch settings that you can turn on. If you have a complex mix type, then each mixer will have a Switch setting that enables it, so you can set up the mix value with the switch not on before that, then use a Replace mix type to use the Src if that switch is on. Yeah, that's probably confusing, but it's very flexible and powerful once you get used to it.

Thank you for explaining this.
I just usw some model inis which i found her ( tom posted them for a time). And i was happy that they worked. I have no idea to Build a model ini. Thats a Little bit to difficult for me, because its a little bit like programming. And i am more the person who can repair and modify Hardware and electronic things.
And alt least my english knowledge i not good as all to understand english manual.
Then for now, i cant use this switches...

Hello, I'm new here but have learned tons. There are some real smart members here and I'd like to thank you guys for all your help.
I added 2 3 way switches but appear to be 2 way switches in the channel viewer. Could someone walk me through a couple things here?
I have a DEVO7E that I need to fly a Blade 350 QX2 with updated firmware. I know that the DEVO7E is not ideal for this quad but with the 3 way switches added and no camera on the quad, I believe this should be able to work with all 3 flight modes. Correct?
Thank you

there's a couple of 350qx model ini files on the wiki >>
www.deviationtx.com/wiki/model_config
and the deviation manual for the 7e is here >>
www.deviationtx.com/user-manual/user-manual-7e-10
those should get you well on your way to getting it set up bud

Sounds like you either didn't use diodes or you installed them wrong.

I did it make on three TX with 1N4001, 1N4002, 1N4148 diodes and it works very well. Do not forget to calibrate your tX in the "Transmitter config" menu. Check the welds. Inform us if it works.Seven5555 wrote: I added 2 3 way switches but appear to be 2 way switches in the channel viewer. Could someone walk me through a couple things here?

If it is appearing as two 2-way switches in channel monitor, you may want to check your hardware.ini file. There is a chance you set it to "2x2" and not "3x2". You want:
extra-switches = 3x2- Seven5555

thanks happy, I read first and post second. Ive installed 5 configs and each does something right the others do not. I'm currently mixing them together to create one that works but i'm a bit over whelmed and kinda lost in a few areas. Thats why I came here

I just sent replies to each of you but I'm not used to this form. I'm not sure exactly how it works but I'm trying all your ideas and appreciate your input.
Maybe i'm not reading the channel menu correctly.
I just found this ini and it seems to work the best so far because the motors spin up but the trottle isnt right and no 3 way switches at all

maybe this will help. when I use the switches, you can see only 2 slots in A and B are affected -100 and 100

Is there a setting or anything else it could be? Does anything need to be configured?

From the video you uploaded, it looks like your 3 way switches seem to be wired as 2 way. Show us which tutorial you followed or take a pic of how everything is wired up.

The switches I'm using have 6 post instead of 3, would that make a difference? I'm just using one side.

You have a 6 pin switch. Can you check that it is a on-off-on switch and no a on-on-on switch?
