Devo 7E doesn't save changes was created by CP-Chris
Hello,
at first i wanna thank you for this nice piece of software. but unfortunately i have little problem on my 7e with deviation 3.0.0.:
after turning on the tx i have to change the stick-mod (i prefer mode 3) an recalibrate the sticks every time. i can't bind the my super-cp until i calibrate the sticks. my problem is, that i don't know how to save the changes in the tx. the original firmware saves the changes after turning the power-switch to off. is it a bug or a tx-problem or am i the bug and theres a simple procedure for it? i havn't found a solution for this problem in the manual or in this forum yet.
thanks for helping and sorry for my english.
best greetings
christian

It saves the changes on shutdown too, if there is enough voltage left in the battery, so check your battery level first.

i changed the Batteries and have 6,1 Volt (some normal non-rechargeble AA) and have the same problem. the changes were not saved. does there come a message when changes have been saved like in the original firmware? maybe i have to flash the deviation-software again.

No, there is no message.
However could you check, that there is a valid tx.ini file in the root of the filesystem?

If nothing has been saved you could repeat the whole installation once again.
I would recommend to use the lastest bug fixed version which could be download from here: http://deviationtx.com/repository/func-startdown/949/ . This a a so-called nightly build and at the moment just before release. Just unpack and install to your transmitter as before with the upgrade button of the DFuSe program.
Of course, a filesystem must be installed also. Download http://deviationtx.com/repository/func-startdown/956/ . Unpack and copy all files and subdirectories to the Tx when switched on while pressing the ENT button. Additionally copy the protocol directory from the first download into the root of the USB drive. Power down and up again. No warnings should appear. Go to Tx config page switch to mode 3 and calibrate your sticks. Power down and check again if the mode has been saved.

There are some more files which should be there (in the root directory): datalog.bin, errors.txt and hardware.ini. At least the last is necessary when you start to make hardware modifications to your tx, the others are for Logging and debugging.
If you had no tx.ini maybe those are missing too.

hardware.ini is only used in some of the latest nightly releases, if you are using 4.0.1 or earlier you wont need it
