My fight with Hubsan H107C (camera version) 'build in' control curves for getting more linear control, was ended with unusual config. Sensitivity around neutral points adjusted with 'Deadband' curve.
Config for Devo8:
'FMODE SW' used for ELE and AIL rates (80%, 90% and 100%)
'GEAR SW' used for light control (by default LEDs disabled)
'ELE DR SW' used for flip control (by default flips disabled)

I think my unusual config was related to problems with XL7105-D03 module. With new module I got quite logical config with expo for ELE and AIL.
