itsmillertime wrote: Have you figured out how to assign the bind "switch" to aux 2 in order to access the servo trim menu? How about getting into the cyclic/ rudder gain menu?
I am working on that.
That is what i have until now:
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=661770
"On your Transmitter, hold the sticks as follows:
Left Stick: Bottom LEFT corner
Right Stick: Bottom RIGHT corner
Then push the bind/trainer switch until the swash moves.
1. You should have heard the swash move (servos move) and the gyro should now be disabled (can move heli around, servos/swash should not move). The servos have now been driven to their middle or reference positions.
2. Ensure each of the servo arms are as close to 90 degrees as possible by adjusting the servo arm itself (remove and re-install). The angle will not be a perfect 90° yet at this stage.
3. Then we can fine-tune each servo to get them as close to 90 degrees as possible. Give Right Aileron to select servo (it will "twitch").
4. Use Elevator (Right stick up and down) to adjust centering of servo to get a "perfect" 90 on each servo. Use Right Aileron to move to the next servo and repeat the process.
5. Once you are complete and have all the servos as close to 90 degrees as possible, adjust the cyclic/swashplate linkage rods to get the swashplate level. Do this by carefully popping the link off the swash and turning as required to get the swash perfectly level on all three linkage rods (level at this point is parallel with the bearing block below the swash).

I did it on my devo12. However, the version of Deviation I'm running (haven't been here in a long time) does NOT show the correct information in the telemetry for the advanced gyro settings. I was able to level the swash though.

itsmillertime wrote: Curious if the changes you made in the servo centering menu actually saved. Reports are that they aren't saved after a power cycle.
Software update is availiable for that problem:

I noticed that. Unfortunately though, my 180 is in the mail heading back to Horizon.

I compared my radio settings to yours but didn't see anything too different.

I know this has been answered, but you are correct. The settings did NOT save until I put the firmware update on the 180 cfx.
If anyone else has a 180 cfx can you tell me what you get in your telemetry window when/IF you go into the PID menu? I see FadesA go from 1 to 7 as I move through the menu, but I never see any other value change so I don't know what values they are at.
Please DON'T do it if you are uncomfortable, you could mess up the PIDs and cause your heli harm. I simply went through the menu and moved the rubber stick to the right to set back to default and hope that I didn't change anything by accident.

I'm about to buy this 180CFX and run it with my devo8s...
@itsmillertime, that happens between "control issue" and "telemetry working" ?
does the file you attached before runs (control issue was just a "bug" that you fix when rebind) or did you change some settings ? (so can you chare the new file, please)
and what version of deviation do you use ?
thanks

Originally used dsmx 7 channels when the control issue happened. Turned off telelmetry and rebound to solve it. Then I changed channels to 8 and turned telemetry back on and everything works as it should.
