Quad throttle curve suggestions was created by jacklscott3
Hey there
Does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to set up a throttle curve for my quad that would make hovering easier?
Im currently working with a 7 point curve
1(-100)
2(10)
3(32)
4(42)
5(52)
6(60)
7(65)
The curve didn't work as well as I was hoping, so any suggestions for making the ol' quad hover with more stability would be greatly appreciated:)

First you have to determine your throttle setting for hover . Ideally , it should be around 50%. Then you want to make the curve softer around the hover point. Don;t clip off upper throttle like you have in your sample. You may need that extra upper throttle for maneuvering.
iF hover is at 50% and 0 represents 50% throttle then a 7 point curve should be more like -100 -50 -10 10 30 65 90

@DigitalMD I'd like to setup a throttle curve that does what you suggest (Hover at 50%) The Flight Controller I'm working with (Scisky Brushed) Skyrockets as soon as I move the stick well below the 50% mark. And is not flyable indoor. I would like extra-to-max throttle above 50% and again, hover and tame at 50% and below.

On your recommendation, do the above 50% points (65 90) max out the throttle at 90? Meaning throttle all the way up/maxed will not reach 100% +?

Also, how/where would I incorporate it into my existing model.ini file?

Thank you in advance

Here is my scisky / shark .ini config for devo 7e. I had the opposite problem as @MasterRC_sTudenT, struggled to get hover down to 50% throttle from 80ish. I set all tx-channels min/max to +/-250 and use (tx) scale+\- to get ranges to 1000 - 2000 in Cleanflight. Used CF's motors tab to find min throttle and set that value in settings tab.

My 7pt curve:
-100
-22
15
44
68
84
100
