So.. after couple of flight. I am amazed. I have some experience with MiniCp and other Walkera models. I started from Stability mode and I can do everything I want 2D flight, so stable and easy.
I thought my skills are good so I switched to 3D and .... I have to practice mode I cannot even fly the same figures like in 2D modes ;). But I love it.

If someone needs setup for Devo7E with two 3 positions switches mod I've got one and working like a charm, deviation is the best thing on the world.

ok I am gonna spam a little bit but don't kill me.

I am having huge problem with Agility and 3D mode :/
In Stabilisty mode servos works like a charm but when I switch to 3D that is what is happening:

Anyone else got this ? Flying like that is not possible

Wow i see the CPS is a little different then the CPX i have
my flight modes are different than the assisted stuff on the s model ... the trick is going to be the correct channel and constant values that it needs to function ... maybe -1/0/1 or -100/0/100 for the 3 flight options .

I was advised to send my heli to HH service. Which I am going to do.
But also can someone provide a video like mine but when it works properly ?
I really wanna see how servos suppose to act.
Because I am not sure but I think I have had the same problem with my Mini CP long time ago and maybe it is
my controller fault ? However it would be weird if it works on Stability mode only.

Thanks.

Someone please review my .ini file. I tried to emulate the DX6/7 programming recommendations ( www.horizonhobby.com/pdf/BLH2400-Manual-EN.pdf ) - FMOD0/1/2 are the 3 flight modes and should adjust the throttle (Ch1) and pitch (Ch6) curves and then change from safe mode to agility to 3d (ch5). I can bind and the pitch/ail/ele seem to work (servos move and blades change angles when I move the sticks) and the 3 modes seem to adjust (blue/red/red). Mix 0/1/2 are the DR for El/Ai/Ru. For some reason though no matter how many times I re-bind it won't throttle up. I tried the "computer bind" with the left stick in lower right corner and it didn't turn purple (blue/red lights both on) so not sure if that is working. I am trying my best to get this to work - someone please try to figure it out. Also TH seems to be programmed for the wrong channel, not sure how to fix that.

make sure your battery is fully charged. there is a low voltage throttle cutoff on this heli. servos and flight mode LED light will still work but throttle will not.

Looks like your Ruder DR1 switch is always on and that is throttle hold.
What I did with my ini, I copied channel settings from ini file from this thread and changes names of switches.
As a test you can get rid of safetysw=RUD DR1

When battery is low it flashes with a red led.

I forgot to add I'm using a Devo 10 and just noticed this statement on the instructions that probably relates to my problem: "NOTICE: The throttle will not arm if the transmitter’s throttle control is not put at the lowest
position and the stunt mode switch is not in the 0 position."

What is stunt mode and what switch controls it?

Good switch has to be on 0 which means stability mode basically.
As I said, take you ini, take the ini from the first post, and copy all channel settings, but not gui settings, leave it from your ini.

And calibrate your devo too.

And when it's ready, turn on your radio, go to binding option, but battery in heli and wait until blue led flashes, then throttle on max bottom right, and press bind.

I see safetysw on ch1 and ch3. Ch1 has no safety value. Might need to set that on ch1 and remove safety on ch3. If ch3 is in center stick you won't have -100 to arm the throttle I'm thinking. I'm not 100% but i think if you fix those things it might work. I have a Devo10 ini. If you want I can upload it to model ini's and put a link here.

your throttle curve should start at -100 for FM0
see my **** below

yes, if you want to use RUD DR1 as throttle hold, it should not be on CH3, it should be -100 as safetyval on CH1 only.
the first throttle curve on CH1 when you have FMOD 0 should start with -100

after you bind your heli, you should be FMOD 0 and RUD DR 0 and have the trottle stick to the lowest. then you will be able to spool up

Ok I got it to throttle up - I changed the throttle curve on FMOD0 (SAFE mode) to -100. Now I can take off and then change to agility mode. I also calibrated the transmitter. Then I came back and read the replies - this is the best forum, and a HUGE thanks to everyone who checked my posts and replied.

My question now is how can I "translate" the Spektrum pitch/throttle curves. I am between buying a DX7 ($300) and a Devo 10 ($130) as a back-up/buddy box tx and was going to get the DX7 because I don't want to spend all my time programming and more of it flying. However if I can just read the DX7 (or whatever is closest) settings and enter them in I will get the Devo 10. How come the Spektrum programming throttle curve starts at 0 and it works but mine doesn't? I

Again thank you so much for those of you who replied (and so amazingly quickly - it was exhilarating to have it spool up and take off!)

it is easy, devo is on a 200 scale and DX7 is on a 100 scale.
on DX7 the lowest is 0 and the highest is 100, the middle is 50
on the deviation TX, the lowest is -100, the highest is +100 and the middle is 0

for exemple, the DX7 ask for 30 for the first point of the pitch, it means it is 20 less than the middle point of 50 on a scale of 100 if you want to translate this on a scale of 200 it will be 40 less the middle point in the deviation : 0-40 = -40
in DX7 value of 75 will translate into 50 in deviation
and 25 in DX7 will be -50 in deviation

Thank you for the explanation, I will try to wrap my mind around that for a while. Is there a way to use scale/offset and keep the DX7 settings rather than try to do that for each value, or am I better off just figuring out what the Devo equivalent is and changing the values?

Also does that mean DX7 50 = Devo 0?

Also how can anyone figure out the values for things like the panic switch and the safe/agility/3d mode? I only know cause someone here posted the (ch5 -100/0/100)

Can I port it as is to my 7e to see if the Deviation 4.0.1 install works as expected? For every step, I like to have a test.
