Eachine E010 and DEVO 12S was created by sv650s
Hi all,
I've just received my eachine E010 and i would like to bin it on my DEVO 12S flashed in deviation 5.0.0 and i have installed a 3 in 1 module in it
I have download models e010 for devo 7 and 10 but i don't arrived to bind on my e010
When i click on reinit on my radio, the radio beep quickly and don't bind with e010 (led continue to flash)
I have tried on a new model just for trying, with protocol MJXq (WLH08) with 12 channels but no success, i don't arrive to bind on my e010

So have you got a model.ini for devo 12s please ?
Else, what can i do ?

Thanks for your help

Correct protocol, but incorrect option. Should be E010 and not WLH08. If you don't see the E010 option, your protocol is out of date and you need to update.

You have to set up the switches and mixers. In the Models -> Mixer menu, assign a switch to the channel you need. The user manual describes the menus, and there are a few tutorials about how to use mixers in the tutorials section.

This isn't a particularly difficult transmitter to program but you'll have a learning curve. It's worth the effort. :)

Hi,
Thanks for your answer
But i don't understand why i must use a mixer...
For example, if i want use channel 5 for on/off led, i must mix with what, i don't understand
Actually i have use channel 5 (gear switch) for led with min and max -100 100 but doesn't work

Ok, it sounds like you have a good start. Look at the Transmitter menu under Monitor and you'll be able to see the input and output on each channel. If the channel 5 output shows +100 -100, you have set up the switch right, but the quad may not be responding.

My stock E010 doesn't seem to switch the LEDs on channel 5. But since the only orientation indication is the LED, I can't think of a reason to leave them off, so I haven't messed with it.

It does work fine with flip on channel 6. It goes into flip mode when the channel changes state, so I assigned channel 6 to a momentary button.

I know RTH works and I have used headless, but in this tiny quad I don't find these features of any interest.

Ok for leds, i don't need it
For rth, i'm agree with you but it's just by curiousity and i don't understand how to configure it or parameter it...

So, i need to configure flip
If i understand well, i need to use channel 6 on 1 momentary switch i must choose
How you choose between aileron flip or elevator flip ? And witch values ?
But i don't see how i must do... sorry but i just start with parameter on devo....

To set up a momentary switch on a Devo 7e (the throttle Trim seems to be convenient for quads since you don't need trim on the throttle), I use 3 steps.

In the Mixer menu, set up a virtual channel Virt3 with Src None, leave the other settings at default.
In the Trims menu, set up a new trim with input as Virt3, step Momentary and Trim+ as TrimLV+. Leave the switch as none.
In the Mixer menu, set up channel 6 as a simple mix, Src Virt3, 1-to-1 curve.

If you've done this correctly, you can use the Transmitter Menu, Channel Monitor to see the results. When you press the Throttle + trim button, you will see channel 6 go from -100 to 100.

An alternative is to add a real momentary button to your transmitter.... I just hardwired a tiny momentary pushbutton in parallel to my FMODE switch and mounted it where I can press it easily. My photo shows it connected to the Hold button, but it works on either one.

I could be wrong, but I believe RTH is a continuous state. So you only need a simple switch on Channel 10. In the mixer, select Channel 10 and assign a switch. When the switch is in the on state you are in RTH mode; when the switch is off you are not.

At the risk of complicating the discussion, you could use a TRIM button as the switch. If you wish to do that please look in the tutorials section, where MWM has an excellent tutorial on writing a config.ini file. Toward the end it covers more uses for trims.

I suggest testing it at low altitude and nearby, and be ready to drop the throttle if it doesn't respond exactly as you need.

So i have tested rth , i have assigned a switch to channel 10 (no problem), i see the values change when i toggle the switch

The E010 seems to take the good direction for return to home, but arrived at his start point, he go far away of his start position, he continue his way and never stop....
If i toggle switch for rth off, he continue his way.... rth doesn't seem to stop.
So i think the value for stopping rth is not good
With -100 the e010 go in opposite direction
With 0 the e010 go in good direction but never stop and i can't take the control

For rth = on, when i switch i have a value of 100
But for rth = off what is the value ?

And what is normaly happen when we use rth ?

Thanks for your help

My experience with the E010 is that RTH is initiated with a momentary switch to 100 then back to -100. That starts the quad heading back to where it thinks it started from. When you want to exit RTH move the cyclic in any direction.
