Would a mixer config thread be of any use? i think it would.

INDEX

Devo Left or Right Trim as a Channel
Motor idle for electric plane:
Mix to Throttle:
Throttle Hold and Expo/DR: http:
Throttle Hold "sticky":
Control Rudder with both Rud and Ail sticks
Delta
Elevon
Elevon with 3 position rates
Flaperon with 3 DR
Flaperon

Vtail

Things like features the original tx may have had.

Eg:

Devo 8s Right trim as channel 7
MIXER PAGE
CH7 Simple
Src Virt1
Curve 1 to 1

TRIM PAGE
Input Virt1
Trim+ R+
Trim- R-
Steps 1.0

Flaperons
Flaperons with 3 FModes
Elevator to flap mixing.
Crow

Etc etc

A library of all these things would make life easy for people.

You have some templates in the sub-forum that addresses them.

But as always, not everyone needs everything so it's up to some that need it to come with a template and share it.

I agree tough that a little explanation on how the template works and how you could modify it, would be welcome...

And btw :I f#@| hate the "delete" button just beside the "edit" one, man it sucks having to write again a post just because you are to fast and miss the edit :D

I think this is a good idea since I have seen some surprising solutions here in the forum which I have thought are not possible.
But we already have the "Model template" section where such solutions are posted. Shall be a good place to collect also small parts of configs used for special purposes.

I think birdman is looking for something along the lines of 'read pdf page 79 and forward'

A name to what you doing and adjusting would be good start. People who have been RC modeler more than a few years can do what they need with tx but nothing in deviation apart from heli's gives you any idea. And I know it can do a lot more then i need but you wouldn't know at a causal glance.

Thank you for this link - for me as a more or less pure heli flyer it is very interesting.
I still hope that we can make deviation more suitable for plane flyers too, but I just don't know what they need. This manual will give me an impression, I believe.

No,you don't understand, you have it wrong. I already have that info in manuals for my other tx's.

Motor idle for Electric plane.

This is an eg of something i have wanted to try for some time, did yesterday evening, and i like it. Have not seen it done or read about but am sure others must be doing it. Having gotten use to cutting throttle on nitro models and motor coming back to an idle.

MIXER PAGE
thr -> complex
mixers -> 2

PAGE 1
Switch -> Rud DR0
Src -> Thr
Curve -> 3 point
P1 -> -100
P2 -> 0
P3 -> 100
Mux -> Replace

PAGE 2
Switch -> Rud DR1
Src -> Thr
Curve -> 3 point
P1 -> -74 (adjust for idle. my motor just starts at this value)
P2 -> 0
P3 -> 100
Mux -> Replace

@Birdman:
I have just seen that you have edited your first two posts (missed this yesterday). The first has now links to the threads where some special mixer usage is explained and implemented.
Maybe this is what this forum really needs: an index which is easy to find (could be made sticky somewhere) and where the interesting threads or postings are linked.
With such a page you could post your findings wherever it seems useful and refer to this post in the overview page.

I agree.

Yes, my plan is to sift through the threads and link any mixer configs into first post (index). Might catagorise them into heli, plane, glider and misc or something like that.

Like wise if people have any to add, post them here and i will link them to index.
