Im new here and I have a problem.
I own a brand new Devo 10 white. Its untouchted.
After installing the nrf module everything seems to work.
I flashed the nightly, edited the hardware.ini (A13) copyed a modelfile from some one and started the tx.
I am able to set the KN mode but my tx wont bind with my v977.
Did I do something wrong? Maybe a mistake with the soldering?
I thougt if I did something wrong I wont be able to select KN in the menue.
I put the antenna cable on the walkera moduel, is this correct?

I have forgotten to put the second antenna on the nrf module. Thanks to florida heli and his guide.

ig0rb wrote: Hi, I'm Igor from Italy, I taken a look to the very interesting work on deviation tx... and i'm trying to understand the KN protocol...
I wrote a simple sketch with arduino to log the V977 TX.
I read the protocol specs and the implemetation code of KN on bitbucket...
I have some troubles... I can see the binding packets , trasmitted from the TX, I identified the TX id, and channels that are used for frequency hopping, but when I try to open the first channel I cannot recognize correct data.
The ID of my TX is 0x00 0x02 0x00 0x1C 0x4b (??? is 4B static as i saw from the code)
Hello.
I am completely n00b here, so please bear with me.
I have question about this arduino code. I have TX from Eachine H8, and want to listen what it senduing. I tried your code, but got nothing. How do you know ID of your TX? Or, to clarify - is it possible to "hack" this ID from unknown TX? I tried inspect pins of the RF module, and got some manchester code, but seems that this is not exactly UART protocol - tried it on UART at 9600, but got 010101.... when no stick movement, and some other numbers when I move sticks. I have no other tools to decode it, but it is maybe possible to do it with arduino. There are many pulses, of which one looks like clock, but not continously - rather burst of pulses, then very short pause, then burst again...
I hope some help to get started.
Thank you in advance,
milan

Maybe I could offset output curve in mixing menu at one of the modes.

I have seen this video and it seems to be possible to adjust angle on new v977 versions, but I think is only possible with the original transmitter. Has anyone tested with Devo and deviation? I tried with mine (Devo 8s, latest nightly build) but either I don't have the new V977 version or is not still implemented in deviation. Any information? Thanks!

I added just the ninth one and I see is linked to GEAR1 and EXPO&DR. If I do nothing when I move the throttle stick blades movement is very little, but If I enter into the EXPO&DR curve and go up to 103 (originally in 100) then blades open to the max and min. I cannot figure out how to configure that feature to let me give my desired angle. Up to now I where unable to do anything else. Any ideas? If you already have configured your model, may be you can upload to check your adjustments on my Devo8s (don't know if you have a Devo8s).
EDIT.
I found the solution here . After searching a bit more I found a new firmware here , just configure your model as the pictures.

Please help. I am a little confused about which rf module to use with v931, uses kn protocol same as v977 i believe.
I bought the following module a while back and it is said in this thread to be suitable.
www.banggood.com/2_4G-NRF24L01-PA-LNA-Wi...ntenna-p-922601.html
But having read the following i am not so sure.
"9.22. Protocol: *KN
The KN protocol is used on the WLToys V930, V966, V977 and V988 helicopters. It has not been tested with other models. NOTE: This protocol requires the addition of an ‘NRF24L01+’ hardware module to function. Note the “plus” version of the nRF device is required to support the 250kbits/s data rate."
Maybe this one is correct?

Any help appreciated. TIA

Both modules are the same, but the first one is without antenna.
I bought and mounted the second one just for that reason, I needed an antenna.
If I am not wrong, KN protocol is the same in all Wltoys models, so you can use your Devo with that module and fly every helicopter you have. Actually I have a v977 and I am pretty sure that original transmitter are the same for both (v977 and v931) so in my opinion you can fly your heli without any problem. Anyway, next week I will test it because a friend of mine is going to lend me a v931 so I can give my impressions if you need it.
Good luck!

WLToys also use flysky protocol.
However the V931 does use the KN protocol like the V977.
The module you bought is the right one, but, like Fernando wrote, you need a antenna.

Would be interested to hear your impressions Fernando, and which ini you use.
One more thing while i'm here, is it the latest nightly i need for kn protocol?
cheers
