Thanks again goebish for the continued work. Any development which enables compatibility for my only quad that doesn't work with my 7e is immensely appreciated.
I updated to the latest update you just posted but I still cannot seem to get my blue board cx10 to bind with my 7e. Any ideas what could be the issue?

Build from the latest repo is working for me. Binds immediately and flies well.

That didn't work as well. I swear there has to be something wrong with the ini's I'm trying.

Just start from a new model / fresh .ini, but I doubt this is the problem.

May be protocol options? As far as I understand the module serves both green and blue board.

Yes, Format protocol option should be set to Blue-A.

The fresh ini with just the cx10 protocol did not bind. How do I set protocol options? Sorry I have very little knowledge here.
Also, you said "10-A" mine is simply a blue board cx-10, would that be the issue?

How do I set protocol options?

Highlight the protocol name (CX10) in Model menu -> Model setup then press ENT.

It binds! Thanks a bunch goebish. The yaw is pretty solid, however the pitch is a little slow. Still very impressive that my blueboard cx10 bind with my 7e. Now I have 1 controller to rule them all.

So, in a sense you were right :-) If you would have been provided with .INI file, you'd be OK. But now you have extra knowledge. Which is power :-)

Did you set channel 5 to high position or assigned a switch for it ?

I did not, and I have no idea how to do that. I'm assuming I need to edit something in the ini?
Interestingly, I had the opposite problem with the syma x11. That thing was so fast lol, I liked the fast mode but I would like to have had a switch assigned to rotate between slow and fast.

The "Blue-A" does work with a green pcb CX11 (early 2015), too!
Unfortunately my CX11 is missing a prop, so not actual flying..
Binding does not work the way it should though, changing the output power in the "Model Setup" menu after "Re-Init" is necessary to bind my CX11 to the Devo7e.

I'm glad somebody is working on supporting these little inexpensive quads! Cudos to you guys, I really enjoy the little Devo7e for this small stuff.
Let me know if you want some high res photos of my CX11 pcb!

I've also got a cheap Saleae Clone and some free time on hand, if you could use additional data.

Video of the binding process: (apparently very low resolution in Dropbox web player, download for HD)

Thanks, I noticed a problem with RF power setting at init, this is probably related, I'll fix it.

Question for nrf24 experts: what is the LNA_HCURR flag of the RF_SETUP register for ? Is it better to have it enabled or disabled ?

No, everything can be done in the GUI.
- Go to Model Menu -> Mixer
- Next to 5-Gear, press "None"
- Now change "None" to "Simple"
- in Src, change "None" to "FMODE0"
- Press Save

Now if FMODE switch is high you'll have high rate, low rate if switch is low.

LNA_HCURR is obsolete for nRF24L01+, but may be actual for BK2421 - it's a clone of nRF24L01 (no plus). Setting it to 1 should do no harm.

Thanks, I was reading the nRF24l01 datasheet, not +.

This should be fixed in this build:
