OK, here are some pics of the FC of the quad. I've taken close-ups of the three chips on the board. Hopefully this will help to figure out what this little thing is using.

Ah, LT8910 :(

Nothing much to do for now, we're not able to emulate this chip ...

I just ordered a LT8900 breakout module to play with, I've not much hope as I won't be the first one to try, but it may be possible to emulate it with a nrf24l01.

> 16 Mhz crystal oscillator
As I have a bit of a lag I am thinking about replacing mine as well. Do I need something specific for that? Will this one do: goo.gl/PcNXeF ? If not what would you recommend? Thanks.

Did you find out what 16 Mhz crystal oscillator to use for the YD 829? I have the same problem :)

In short, no :)

I unsoldered one from a different, working radio and used it to replace the one in YD829. It didn't work for some reason. Weird thing is that sometimes it would fly perfectly and sometimes the lag would make it almost unflyable. The same as with the original oscillator.

After that I bought a couple of oscillators from an electronics store but never replaced it at the end. They are super cheap so you can give it a go. I ended up replacing the flight controller with an Eachine H8/Floureon H101 board with silverxxx firmware on it.

Datasheet for LT8910 (in Chinese though):

Pascal was already able to emulate the LT8900 with a nrf24l01, the problem with the LT8910 is that it has lower bitrates modes, not compatible with nrf24l01.
It might be possible with A7105 or cc2500 tho.

Thanks for the update... I have ordered some oscillators off ebay, i'll see if they fix the problem when they arrive.

Imagine we could emulate all RF modules with the original stock RF module inside my devo10, no more 3/4 in 1. That would be great.
