I needed something to do...
Although I really need to look into the switch mods. I never thought I would need so many.

Yep
The switches mod in 7e is a must. I started flying helicopters with a Futaba FM radio, after some time I bought an Spektrum DX7.
The first time I saw the 7e my thought was "What a cool radio! But where are the switches? "

Good job with the model icons
I like a lot the F801 icon.

I've pushed another update to test please. Found an issue with how I set the tx address. But now that I see how it's supposed to work I'm not sure why the first version was binding! So not too confident yet, but this test will be another data point.

Repo updated. Misread the SPI - it's a 5 byte address
This change is one step away from being back where we started...

Repo should be back to binding and throttle but no controls. Not sure what to try next...

Yep, binding and throttle working, as first test.
Can I help capturing or testing something?

The camera works, flipping works.
I find it interesting that I can choose the direction I flip. Does that mean anything?
Anyway, I appreciate the effort hexfet.

Yep, I forgot to test the flip channel and works just fine.
it's weird, the direction controls doesn't work, but the quadcopter recognizes the flips commands at all sides

At least it's consistent
Trying to think of some test that would give us more information. It's puzzling that greenfly reports some control response at the extremes of channel values but you don't see the same. I've pushed a test version that adjusts the data byte corresponding to elevator over the full range (0-ff). What's important is if you see any pitch response, and if so in what portion of the stick position (e.g. .25-.50).
Be careful. May want to try with props off.

Bufff.... hard to explain...
The throttle channel start the front props at full power, but only the front props. (using 100% scale at ele/ale). Similar to RTH but much more powerfull.
If I lower the scale (simulating low rate), you can use full throttle without startthe frontany prop, but when you touch the ele/ale slightly with some throttle output, the front props start at full power as previous case.
In none of these cases I have the feeling of control something. I guess there are flags mixed, or something similar.
Very odd, very weird, and for me very hard to explain...
@Greenfly.
I don't know if you are compiling the builds.
Here is latest compiled version:

Probably you can explain better than me...

I checked again and it still behaves peculiar when I push the trims to each extreme...
Max Forward Pitch Trim - Does a front flip when I pitch forward all the way
Max Roll Right Trim - *Actually causes the quad to pitch to the left* but obviously at 100%
Max Rudder Left Trim and Max Rudder Right Trim - *Actually causes the quad to rotate to the right*
So I am seeing some response from doing this.
Let me check the latest build you have.

Pushed a new test revision that removes all the flags (flip, rth, etc) and driven trims. Trying to simplify
Need to find out if there's any control response.
Thanks for the patience and testing...

Checked my SD card and the photos folder had 223 pictures in it.
Somewhere's in all this testing the picture trigger is working overtime!
