That's normal for this kind of protocol, thanks for testing again :)
I'll review the code one last time then make a pull request.

Back to the 8S GUI nightly build issues, I don't know who or how to report nightly build bugs. I tried the 'Bug Tracker' on the left side of the page and only got a blank page. Could you let me know who/how or let them know yourself. I would love to have this protocol on my 8S as it's my go-to transmitter.

@goebish

I just found out the reason the touch screen GUI doesn't work on your 8S build is because they trashed it on purpose.They wanted to make the buttons work differently, but nobody even uses the buttons on the touch screen TXs, that's why we paid so much extra for them. It was fantastic, now it's garbage, unreal. If you have a touch screen TX then give it a try, mostly blank screen space now where there used to be icons. Things like the Standard GUI model menu that used to be one page of color icons is now multiple pages of text boxes with a scroll icon that is hard to use because it's tiny and in the corner where the screen bezel is in the way of your finger. You pretty much have to use the buttons instead of the touch screen now. Grrrrr rant rant. My flagship 12Ss are now boat anchors.

I do not have a transmitter with a touch screen, only a Devo 10.
... and I do not have much time to work on the GUI, to be honest I've put some protocols on hold (Hubsan, AFHDS-2A) because I've to write some GUI for them (not much, only telemetry screens...) :p

It's not broken, it's just gone. They intentionally deleted the GUI touch screen interface. It's now text and button based instead of icon and touch based. Very irritating, and very S L O W. It's like going from Windows back to MS-DOS. I bought backup 8S and 12S transmitters because they were so much better than my Devo 10 and I never wanted to be without them if they broke, what a waste of money.

hi goebish, unfortunately I have to adjust my experience, after many test i have notice a randomly and cumilative latency, some time after 3-4 minuts the drone come unflyable :(
perhaps an error in the protocol?

What's weird is that it works fine at first, then accumulate latency to the point it's uncontrollable from what I understand, can someone else confirm that ?

@paglia
What transmitter are you using, and which type of NRF24L01 board is installed?

@goebish
I've done probably 8-10 4 minute flights with no issues or latency problems using a Devo 10 with the new 13 pin 4-in-1 board. I will do some more tests with an 8S with a discreet NRF24L01+PA+LNA board, but I won't be able to report back until later in the day. Yesterday I did a couple of short flights with the 8S and they seemed fine, but I wouldn't say it was a conclusive test by any means.

EDIT: My quad has the red PCB for what it's worth.

That's the same board I have in my 8S that I will be testing later today.
What do you have the transmit power set to and are you using the stock 7E voltage regulator?
My understanding is that some protocols are more power hungry than others at the same transmit power.

Your voltage regulator may be overheating and causing unstable voltage, it's only rated to about 200ma total from what I've been told. And that's when running on NIMh which don't heat up the regulator nearly as much as a LiPo because they are closer to the final regulated voltage. So it doesn't have a whole lot of power to spare for the add in boards.

Maybe you should try setting the transmit power down to 10mw or 30mw and see if it helps, it should still have enough transmitter range to fly it beyond visual range.I've heard other people say you need to add a 2nd voltage regulator if you're going to use 100mw or above, but I haven't verified this myself.

That's the board I'm using in the Devo and other nrf24 modules as well.
