I just added a jjrc H36F to my collection, another micro quad that can be mounted into a boat frame:

Is protocol of H36F related to F36 or H36 by any chance?

As Dave Jones used to say at EEVBlog: taaaakeee it apaaaart.
(I am sorry I cannot really give back his Aussie accent with typing :D).

To be honest: I doubt that it uses the same transmitter because the gyro calibration is different: the Furibee needs both stick pulled to low right and then low left direction while here only the right stick is pulled left low to perform the gyro calibration.

RTF's on order, tracking not showing up yet.

We'll see if it works with any protocol, if not, I'll taaaakeee it apaaaart. :)

38% nitric acid, I don't know if that's strong enough, I've never used it for that.
Anyway, whatever you do please wear appropriate safety gear ;)

Yeah I have found similar sources (up to 65%) locally, but I am afraid we will need the fuming one (>86%) concentration. As the nitric acid's concentration goes up it starts behaving more an oxidiser than acid:

And that's what we need if we do not want to destroy the bonding wires.
I have found several chinese industrial suppliers on alibaba, If I cannot source it locally I might try to get some sample millilitres from the.

Blog of an IRC friend:
burninsheep.wordpress.com/2013/05/04/h2s...y-failures-analysis/

According to him better use sulfuric acid instead of nitric, that will be longer but less toxicity, easier to source and that won't eat the metal that easily.

First make a small hole (bowl) where the bonding wires are, then pour the acid drop by drop until you see the wires. Chip temperature is critical.

DON'T use isopropyl to rinse, use acetone.

Probably worth asking at a local university. I remember from my studies that the chemists did have some fuming nitric acid. Probably you can even arouse someone's scientific curiosity ;)

You probably have read the pdf as well:

fahrplan.events.ccc.de/congress/2014/Fah..._Peter_Laackmann.pdf

It talks about making fuming nitric acid from nitrate.

Many thanks for asking around and for the tip!
Sulphuric acid seems to be easier to acquire, I will try to get some and give it a try. I have a PID controlled flat iron so basically I have almost everything in place.

Yeah I have thought about it, just getting to my alma mater is a bit problematic logistically. And my secondary school's chemistry teacher have been retired :(.

Yeah I have thought about it and read about the process, but I do not have glass distilling equipment at hand and using distiller made from another materials seems to be problematic.

I think I will acquire some H2SO4 first, do some testing with it, and if it does not goes well I will get back to the nitric acid.

My jjrc H36F arrived today. It is using the same protocol as my H36 i.e. E010. The protocol is MJXq option E010.

No new protocols required.

Cool!

Furibee F36 seems to be discontinued (at least out of stock almost everywhere).
What I see at gearbest is helifar F36:
www.gearbest.com/other-rc-toys/pp_300225...829.html?wid=2000001

It looks identical to the Furibee, but if someone already owns one it might worth a photo from the PCB/a cross check with a Furibee TX just to be sure.

(Gearbest also renamed all Furibee F36 parts to simple F36)

It is the mjxq protocol then option e010. I am using 12 channels. H36F just works with the config I had for my H36 on Devo 10. Since the stock tx does not have any switching between flight boat and land modes, I don't even bother to do any reconfig. It may be using the same flight control of H36/E010. And that may mean the differences between H36F and H36 would be the frame and float. Sorry for OT.

I can confirm that the Helifar F36 is identical to the Furibee. It just has an FCC logo on it.

I got some fuming sulphuric acid meantime, now I have 3 TX-es so I will allocate some time for decapping soon.
