Devo 10 new firmware 0.8 A version was created by auceto
Hi guys,
I'm new of this forum and I would like solve a little problem as written in the object...SORRY is this is the wrong section.
I've just buy devo 10 for use it as unique transmitter for my hely (mcpx,130x, Skyartex wasp X3V and V911): I read the upgrade instruction and it says:
<It is recommended that you test the DFU tool by first upgrading your TX to a different version of Walkera firmware.>
Now my "problem" is that my new devo 10 as firmware version 0.8A (library 0.2) and on walkera site only version 0.7A is published. So, before I would like to backup the original firmware and libray to re-use it in the future or if something will go wrong.
First question:
Is this backup possible? How?
second question: Do you know why the walkera site haven't the last firmware?
thanks in advance and gooood flyyyyyy

Are there any mirror sites I'm still not aware of? Again, did anyone find out other places than official Walkera site where the latest 0.8A/0.2 stock firmware can be downloaded?
Please, please chime in! Thank you.
Happy flights to everybody.

Good point. Although Deviationtx should be the reference site, I still haven't found the ultimate answer to a successful backup of 0.8A firmware - neither I have elsewhere for that. In fact it's the sole reason I still haven't deviated my brand new TX: according with your post, I share the very same worries. I tend to think similarly with my helicopters, in the event I may sell one. Furthermore, even before possibly adding any RF modules necessary to further expand the protocols range, just my Blade helis would thank me alot for transitioning to a much better cockpit from stock RTF transmitters. Not at the price of having the brave Devo undergoing any irreversible virtual surgery though.auceto wrote: First question: Is this backup possible? How?
Right! I bought my Devo-10 last summer; to date, the Devo-10 update page only shows links for both 10mW and 100mW versions of 0.7 firmware. How come? That's really odd.auceto wrote: second question: Do you know why the Walkera site haven't the last firmware?

You don't need backup. Deviation surpasses stock firmware in every possible way, including flexibility, protocol support and ease of model sharing.
Anyway, you should probably bookmark this link and check it periodically. Also, some people have had success in asking Walkera support for a download link.

There is a way to save the memory into a hex files...>ST_link adapter.
But will mostly beyond any user practise.
"After reading data, you can also modify each value merely by double-clicking on the concerned cell ......... You can also save the device memory
content into a binary, Intel Hex or Motorola S-record file using the menu
File | Save file ..."

The flash is read protected, that's not possible.
