will older devo 10 trans & tx801work with devo-m

hello i need help with my build
i have brought the devo-m controller with power board/led and GPS for a new build
and am trying to get it to work with my older devo 10 and receiver rx801 without success?
after reading a few blogs it seem i will now have to buy a new rx 702 is that true or am i doing something wrong?
can anyone help or do i need to buy the new rx and if that's the case do i need
to purchase a new radio too???
any help in this area would be great

i have done all that and placed the bind plug into the devo-m and green light does as it should for the walkera x350 but i cant unlock the motors i have tries several times.
i am a bit new to this and after some reading the last couple off day it may be my radio not been set up correctly ??? it says i have to have it on normal mode so am looking for the x350 manuel to set radio to settings that it would have been for a BNF for the x350 but instructions are not verry clear if you have any suggestions that would be great but as i said a bit new to this side off things so bare with me
