Devo 8S with Assault 450 Heli was created by JL
I'm currently trying to bind my Devo 8s with the HobbyKing Assault 450 heli, but I can't seem to get it to bind.
My Devo 8s is running the original software, and I believe it's running V1.0A (but I'll need to check). The heli uses the Turnigy 3D-H Flybarless system with a OrangeRX R100 DSM2 2.4Ghz Satellite Receiver.
Could someone please guide me on how I can get the Devo 8s working with this heli? When the bind plug is in, the RX flashes red rapidly, but that's all I get. I've tried using fixed ID too, but all to no avail.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

With the original software, Devo transmitters can only bind with DEVO Receivers. It will not work with a DSM2/X receiver.
If you want to bind your Devo 8S with a DSM2/X receiver you have to install Deviation to it.

Thanks for this Tom. Would I need Deviation or Nightly?

You can use both, But Deviation 4.0.1 is around for quite some time now. Al the enhancements, update's and other extra's are in the nightly builts. So i would advice to use the latest nightly build.
