Devo 7E USB issue was created by kolergy
Hi I have just bought a Devo 7E to install Devotion
I have been trying to use the DfuSe tool from Walkera putting the remote on DFU mode by holding the Ext button while switching on the remote.
But the radio is not identified by the software.
I have tried to remove all USB devices on the pc (except the keyboard it is difficult to do without) and reboot as mentioned in the devotion manual.
Still the remote dose not appear in the flashing software.
Is there a known solution to this problem ?
Cheers

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Can't say if there's a known solution or not, because we need more information to identify the problem. To start with:
- Which version of Windows are you running?
- Does the USB device show up in the device manager?
- Have you installed the device driver, and if so how?

Thanks for the answer Mwm
1: W7 SP1 (old computer not connected to internet) I'm a linux user
2: Yes I can see STM32 DFU in the device manager
3: Ah ah! I have not noticed any mention of drivers in the documentation I just installed DevoDfuSe tryed V1.7 & V2.0. I need to read more carefully & search the Walkera site for the drivers.
That was very helpful.
Cheers

Great I found that there was an upload tool for linux
Deviation Uploader V0.8
from PhracturedBlue
I tried it it works perfectly I now have Deviation 4.0.1 installed
However now I realise that an additional module is required to run the H8 with the CG023 protocol, and surprisingly I can not see this protocol listed on my remote... strange.

You may need to update your deviation firmware. If you installed 4.0.1 (meaning it says "4.0.1" in the version, not "4.0.1-xxxxxx"), it won't be there. Nor will nightly build older than last June.
