Any help would be appreciated. I've never done this before.
Thanks again.

Thank you, I appreciate the suggestion.

For anything other than micros I use FRSky. Fantastic range (unofficially up to 5Km!) built in telemetry and cost about $20 US for a 6 channel, $25 for an 8 channel.
I'm going to attach an FRsky module to my devo 8s. The module takes PPM so it's easy to do, but it would/will be great when FRSky is integrated into deViation so we get telemetry on screen.
Walkera needs a new head of marketing. They could be a much bigger player in the market, but they are all over the place in terms of marketing strategy.

Note that when I get to FRSky, it will be with a CC2500 module. That means you likely won't get the same range unless you can find a module with a serious PA.Hexperience wrote: I'm going to attach an FRsky module to my devo 8s. The only thing holding me back right now is the power. I'm not sure the best way to power both the 8s and the modules. FRSky say the min. voltage is 6. I know it will probably run fine at lower, but I'm thinking I'll run at least 2s and use a UBEC to supply the 8s with a constant 5 or 6v
ps. My v450d03 is in the mail... happy holidays!!

I plan to try the rx2618 in my 250 if I can get the servos worked out. There's not much in the way of setup on the rx2618 as far as reversing.
I will also try the rx2702 in the 250 and compare them. And I have a 2703H coming (included in the v450d03).
I have an ar7200bx in my blade 300x, and a CopterX 3x1000 in my 450 and 500. The problem is, I'm not a good enough pilot to compare all these gyros and rx's. I pretty much can only do circuits, I'm just starting to try flips.
Anyway, I can of course compare hard pitch pumps and how well the tail holds, and how stable they feel in hover. But it all comes down to setup and flight style. I'll bet my $30 copterx gyro can be setup and feel more stable than the $300 ar7200bx. The ar7200bx of course might feel much better to someone doing "tock-ticks" or whatever you call them...

I agree with.... 3x1000 is not safety at all.magic_marty wrote: careful with the 3x1000 ....i had one burn out my tail servo and cause a crash..better off going with a higher end gyro.
