PB, I don't fully understand what does it mean - 'template automap works on outputs not inputs'. Can you check what happened with 'Elevon and V-Tail templates' if used 'automap=1' option?

Right now they haven't 'automap=1' option, since it will destroy template mixing.

I changed the algorithm for handling automap=1 in the code.
basically now, all templates should be written to be in AETR format. They will then be translated to the proper order for the selected protocol.
The old algorithm was to map individual mixers be 'source' so anything with a source of 'ELE' would be placed on channel 2 (for AETR) and so on. As you noted in the ticket that is really broken.
So now if the protocol is AETR the template applies with no mapping. If the protocol is TEAR, channels 1 and channels 2 will be swapped.
It should give the behavior you expect

It doesn't work as expected. If template loaded with DSM2 protocol, one of mixes destroyed and mix for throttle channel also changed.

Please file a ticket. As you may have noticed I haven't had as much time for Deviation lately. that may continue for a couple more weeks, and I don't want to lose these issues.
