DEVO 8 Telemetry Check was created by clearprop88
I just installed the Telemetry module in my Devo 8, but the Tlm screen says that Telemetry is not supported.
How can I check to see if the Tlm module is working?

In the model menu, click the protocol button to enter proto config mode. Now turn on the telemetry. For the Devo protocol, it defaults to on (even if you don't have the module).

Does telemetry only work in Devo mode?
When I select the other protocols it doesn't give me the option to turn on telemetry, only in Devo mode.

I haven't been using nightlies, but I probably should start using them.
OK. Devo, and DSM2/X for now.
Will any other protocols be added later for tlm?
Most of my config's use 2801.
If I want to use telemetry in DSM mode do I have to have a Spectrum Tlm unit in the heli?

I don't have any rx that support telemetry on the 2801 so I have no way to transmit anytelemetry. Additionally I don't actually own a 2801 Tx, so I have no way to see what is being transmitted.

Thanks PB.
It seems like the best way to go for now is either with Devo, or Spectrum telemetry.

The 2801 doesn't support telemetry.
Neither pre-devo Walkera does...

Are there any other supported choices for telemetry?

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

Hopefully sometime down the road we'll have FrSky telemetry as well, but it will involve installing a chip.
