Deviation first-timer, advice needed was created by TucsonFlyer

				Hi all,
A few of you might recognize me from the RCg or HF boards. I'm in the middle of a new Gaui X4 build and I want to take advantage of deviation to handle my AR7200bx+sat for my new bird.
I'm looking for a bit of advice about DSMx vs DSM2 in deviation. I know DSMx support is only in the nightly builds thus far whereas DSM2 is in the 2.1.1 stable.
First off, do DSMx RX's consistently fall back to DSM2 if I were to try and bind in DSM2 mode (using 2.1.1)? Are there any significant disadvantages?
Second, am I reading things right in that the DSMx support in the nightly builds is in good shape? Should I just go with the nightly build and DSMx? Am I worrying about nothing and just being a bit paranoid?
Thanks in advance!

				Ok, sounds like good news!
I think I'll just go with the nightly build and go from there.
One more question, I've got a 3GX on another heli and it needs a 120* swash setting (Devo 8S). Will the swashmix percentages translate directly over to the deviation values or are they on different scales? Same for gyro %, expo % and subtrim values? Any sense at all in trying to replicate my current values?
I strongly suspect I'm just going to have to re-setup the heli's from scratch arn't I

Range tested and flying a F450 Quad with KK2 FC, AR600, (DSMX) & Enigma 3D with AR8000, using a 12S with Widescreen firmware & RTC.
No problems or issues, other than the tool mounted on my shoulders. :
My THANKS, go out to the development gang! Looking forward to 3.0.

Bah, just found the FBL setup sticky. That'll teach me to RTFM:
Good to hear that everyone seems to be doing fine with DSMX! I just replaced the RX802 on my 250 with a DSMX sat so it'll be my first heli to fly on deviation as soon as I can find the time to sit down and set it all up.
If your heli manual uses 0%-100% you will need to convert those to -100 to +100 values.
