How2 bind a nanoCPx on a Devo 8S was created by Gerhard_H
Hi !
I am now happy with Deviation so far.
But there are still some problems :
One of them is the binding procedure with a Blade nanoCPx. It does bind, most time, after some (no, a lot of) tries, but I'm unsure about the proper procedure.
I also find it not comfortable that I have to enter the menu for the "Bind" button, and the binding lasts just two seconds. Why that ? And - is it necessary at all ?

Binding procedure for DSM2/DSMX should be done only once. Then, you power your TX before your heli and it should bind automatically. That's way the bind button is safely tucked away.
You most certainly are doing something wrong. Mind posting your procedure?

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

Are you holding the rudder all the way to the right when binding? That tells the nano you have a "computer" radio.

For the Nano, use the DSMX protocol, Nano does not like DSM2 protocol
This problem exist also with the Spektrum TX, this is a known Nano issue...

Hi !
@Hexperience
Yes, I did, and sometimes after some times it has bound, but very often it hadn't.
@domcars0
DSMX seems to be the solution.
The nano was commonly known as a unwilling binder, but luckily I never have had problems binding with my DX7 (I own three nano's).
The (working) procedure now has been :
- Radio on
- opened Menu - Model setup
- nano battery connected
- Bind button pressed & and Rudder right
- after a few seconds the nano had bound
- leaving menu
Next binding :
- Radio on
- some seconds waiting (used to do so with the DX7)
- Heli battery connected
- nano binds instantly
Thank you very much indeed domcars0, Hexperience and sbstnp for assistance !
