Devo 10 Found a resistor burned was created by asafbarhadas
Hi guys
I probably charged my Devo 10 wrong, now it will only turn on when i'll take the battery out and put it back again when the switch is on. So i opened the back of the TX and saw a burned resistor... as you can see the resistor's colors are gone...
Can someone tell me the colors of that resistor (or ohms)?
Thanks!

Found a couple of photos online:

If it's green-black-black, that would be 50 ohms. One photo shows a number 52 next to some Chinese words. The silver band at the end is a 'tolerance' and in this case it's 10%, which is pretty typical. (Meaning the actual resistance value could be anywhere from 45 to 55 ohms. (+ or - 10% of 50 ohms.))
The physical size of the resistor typically determines the wattage. From the pics, I'm guessing it's a 1/2 Watt, maybe 1 Watt. You can go bigger wattage, but not smaller if you can't find the part. So don't buy a 1/4 watt, for example.
I hate cracking open my case. If no one else gets to it, maybe I'll open it up and take a look at mine.
Oh, and here's an interesting thread on RC Groups about burned parts from using a 3-cell LiPo. They mention a couple of other parts that might need to be replaced:

Thanks!!!!!
I hope the resistor is the only damage...
I'll replace it and let you know if it worked
