Devo10 and rx1002 bind problems

Recent newbie to Deviation.....and love what I see.
My problem is binding tx to rx. If I flash with Deviation, tx and rx will not bind. If I flash back to Walkera firmware, all works. I have read numerous posts on how to rebind rx1002. Insert the bind plug into power input on rx, connect power to an aux channel, wait for slow blinking light. Then perform reinit on tx. From what I am seeing it is clearing the code in the rx. But will not bind under Deviation. The instant I flash walkera code it starts working. It appears that Deviation is preventing binding.....
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help

Then power on the Tx, make sure it is set to 'Devo' protocol with ID set to None. Then power off the Tx. Now power on the Rx and then Power on teh Tx. It should say 'Binding' and should bind within 20 seconds.

I am happy to announce it is now working...very excited.
I see what I "was not doing"..... Clearing out the code. I did not clear out the code on the tx. I kept it at DEVO, Re -Init and None.... But there was still a code in the tx. Once I erased/deleted the code and powered up the tx, as you said...it would auto bind within a few seconds.
Very glad I am up and running.
Thanks PB

Hi Guys, sorry to post on this old thread. I am helping my old man get this quad over to the deviation firmware on his Devo10 and we are having this issue, I delete the fixed id hit DONE come out and try bind...no noy! but if I go right back into the fixed Id the number I just deleted is still there??
Any ideas... or am I missing something out?
Cheers in advance! Breon

Current builds generate a random id if you try and change the id and it was empty, which you might be seeing. They also change the "Bind' button to "Re-init" when there is no bind id. You might check that.
Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Its the lastest firmware "deviation-devo10-v4.0.1"
Yes it does seem like it is randomly setting one, and yes the bind option changes to "Re-init" - is this all positive? I just cant get them to bind - thanks again so much!

The Walkera Rx's won't bind if they are bound to a fixed ID. You have to clear the ID from them. Have you done that?

I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you - it is the rx1002 and I have finally got it bound! Followed your steps and these:
clear the code of the rx-
on the rx1002 you insert the bind plug
power on the rx
power off the Rx
unplug the bind plug.
Clear the code in the tx-
Power on the Tx
make sure it is set to 'Devo' protocol with ID set to None. (if there is a number in the id go and and delete)
Then power off the Tx.
To bind-
Now power on the Rx (i had to have the battery/esc connected to the batt port rather than a channel to get it to work.)
Power on teh Tx. It should say 'Binding' and should bind within 20 seconds.
I think I wasnt clearing the RX properly ...so thank you SO MUCH for your help!
Cheers Breon

After you do the autobind at least once as described above. Just click on fixed ID and you will see that it has some type of auto ID now entered. After you close this, it will now say BIND instead of RE-INIT.
Now Im happily turning off and on engaing my failsafe and rebinding in flight.
