You might better use a 3S LiFePo4 battery. In this topic you can find good tips on this.

Other TX have other batteries (Devo12: 1S LiPo, Devo10: 12V?)

The problem I see is that a 2S, fully charged Lipo sits at 8.4V, I would rather advise on using a 6.6V 2s LiFe. (and RBE mentioned 10V in his response in a Devo8 topic header)
But then I am back to the old question why at all - with 4x 2500mA NImH you have almost double the capacity in the same space and the easy of charging via the DSC connector without removing the battery. An added benefit is I can charge while I practice on the Simulator.

Yes, agree. That is why I advised and use LiFePo4.

The little bit extra brightness on the 8S could be an argument pro and the charge/discharge properties of LiFePo4 are "better" than that of NiMH.

All good arguments depending on how you define "better" and for whom.
I probably look at the screen 0.1% of the time I use the TX, and even less when I am outside flying - then you look at the heli or plane and wait for the buzzer to indicate it is time to land - "brighter" for me personally is thus irrelevant.

Anyway, i need to connect a tx module which has a min voltage of 6v. So i need to run a 2s lipo. With diode voltage comes down to below 7.5v.
Will this be ok?
I found a 2100mAH rx pack lipo. If you unscrew and remove batt holder its fits just nice.

Sorry for m'y english....
If the devo8s reduce power to 3.3v and i put 4x 1.2v there are less heat then 4x1.5v (with same mah) so more time whitout recharge. It's true?
Thank you!

Thank you very much.
Puhh...does sb know where I can buy this connector in Germany? Banggood and Hobbyking EU would be also ok, or some ebay seller. It's also used as battery plug in JR and Spektrum transmitters, but i can not find it anywhere.

It seems to me that this connector is hard to find. I have seen here, but the shipping costs are very expensive and I do not know this website.
Try this:
fr.aliexpress.com/wholesale?initiative_i...s&needQuery=n&page=3
or do send a mail to wlakera parts, hobbygaga, hobbyone, ehirobo...
Otherwise it will be necessary to replace the connector by a JST connector like Devo 7E. I think you should find the picture in the forum.
Try this:
store.batteriesamerica.com/2-pinflatwhitetxconnforjrpropo.aspx
www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-JR-SPEKTRUM-TRANSM...81895147980#shpCntId
Perhaps contact a spektrum resaler in your country!

I asked the part service of Horizon, whether i can make an order for the part. This was last week, but I didn't get an answer. Only today they said my order is in process. I will wait and see.
Using the heading of your ebay link I found a chinese seller. Thanks! So thats an option. Otherwise, the shipping cost are insane..

I'm not sure, whether i understand you or not. Are you referring to the chinese seller i mentioned? If Horizon doensn't sell me the connector I want to buy this one:
www.ebay.de/itm/JR-Spektrum-Transmitter-...9:g:51IAAOxyCSRSEj41
Seems to me the rigth connector, or not?
