I own both a Devo 7E and 10.
I cannot get the Walkera update SW (v1.7) to run on either of my PC, one is Windows 7 64 bit other is Vista 32 bit. The driver is installing correctly to recognize the transmitters, but the SW crashes. I've tried every combination of compatibility modes to get it run....including installing x86 drivers and running in XP mode....still DOA.
Here's the details of the error that I get:

- Knowing Walkera's poor support / SW, is there a fix for this?
- Does the Deviation SW replace the need for Walkera's SW for firmware updates?
- Can you direct me to the right thread for this info????

Try an older DfuSe, like this 1.4:

Version 1.4 did not run either. I'm following the Walkera installation exactly. Pointing the driver update to the C:\Program Files\devention Upgrade Tools\Driver path instead of moving he inf and driver to the System32\driver folder.
I had Windows 7 run the compatibility test is suggested XP SP2 with administrator privileges....still did not run...same crash as in prior post.
Tried turning of my antivirus and run, no luck.
I've tried running in "safe mode" to prevent conflicts, still not luck.
I'm stumped.

I did installed the STMicroelectronics' DfuSe and it loaded perfectly and ran.
I didn't use it yet to upgrade any firmware.
I went to your page rc.fdr.hu/devo.php#technical_data
It says there that we can use the STMicroelectronics' DfuSe USB device firmware upgrade as in alternative. If so what are it's instructions for use the link on the aforementioned page is broken for the ST manual.

No you can't use the STM DfuSe for the fw upgrades, because Walkera does some additional encoding/decoding to the program in their update tool.
As a last resort vou can use the replacement upgrade tool written ny PhtacturedBlue:
