Does Devo7e Antenna need to be outside Tx?

I'm going to be doing the "two-switch", "range extender", and "A7105 module" hardware mods to my Devo7e shortly.

Ideally I would like to remove the plastic antenna cover and replace it with a blanking plate - leaving the original antenna inside the Tx case.

As the A7105 antenna will be inside the Tx anyway, I'm guessing this won't be a problem - or am I wrong?

I think if could even get better - in stock 7e the antenna points to the model (if you hold the tx like most people do). This is the direction where the signal strength is the most bad...
Keeping it inside the tx and arrange it in parallel to the front should improve the range. Make sure that no metal (or carbon ;) ) parts provide shadows.

Thanks rbe,

I hadn't realised that it might be more efficient _inside_ the case
