I just recently decided to use the RX1202 that came with my Devo 12S as I want to build a second trex 450. Unfortunately I ran into the following problem. I had setup my Devo 12S with the Devo-12-3.0.0 deviation and it's been working great for all my Walkera devo helis and Blade micros with DSM2/DSMX. But with the RX1202, the collective channel ("cyclic3") doesn't seem to be working correctly. There is no counter movement of the pitch servo when giving aileron stick input. The pitch servo moves on collective stick movement, but the other aileron and elevator servo does not move collectively. I'm using swashtype "None/1Servo".
Anyone had this issue with the RX1202 and devo 12s with the deviation software? Could this be just a bad brand new RX1202, since same/similar settings work on all my other receivers (devo and dsm2/dsmx)... only difference is the RX1202 has 12 channels instead of 7 or 8 on my other receivers.

Rbe is correct. It sounds like you have a normal flybar heli but when you select none or 1 servo for the swash type it means you have a flybarless controller.

I actually have a flybarless. But tried selecting the other swashtypes... servos just go all over the place with the other swashtypes. Tried it with and without the flybarless unit (3gx), same behavior. But with the spektrum ar8000 it all works fine... it's dsmx and has different channel mapping though.
Rbe, would it be possible for you to post/upload your model for your rx1202 for me to try? If that doesn't work, then I must have a bad rx1202.

For me it's still unclear if you have only the rx1202 or additionally your fbl system 3gx installed and tested when you see the problems.
What does the manual of the fbl unit tell you about mixing? Does the unit do that? Or must it be calculated in the transmitter? If it is done twice it can have unpredictable result, even the one you described.
I actually can't send you my config, maybe later. But I have a flybar heli with mixing in the transmitter so it might not be of any use for your config.

I've tested with both the 3gx connected and without, i.e., one case with the servos connected to 3gx, and one case where the servos are directly connected to the rx1202. The results are the same, the cyclic mix for collective input is not working for the rx1202. Doing same experiment with ar8000 (again with one case where servos are connected to 3gx, and another case where servos are connected to ar8000), both cases works as expected.
It seems the rx1202 doesn't do any collective mixing, while other receivers do. I even tried to copy my tx setting for my walkera v120d02s (since both are devo protocol), then bind with the rx1202. Again, what worked on the v120d02s receiver did not work for the rx1202 - the collective mix is not correct for the rx1202.
Is using ch6 for Cyclic3 and CYC-COL virtual channel is Cyclic3, correct for the rx1202? And for CYC-COL, using THR as source is also correct? No, of course it doesn't do CPPM. Neither Walkera bare receiver does...
The one in the V120D02 has an inbuilt FBL controller too, so it does.
Could you post your model config file for checking if there is something wrong?

From all the feedback and suggestions, I went back and started from scratch and reviewed my mixes and swashtypes, and as I tried the different swashtypes, now noticed a pattern - the Aileron and Elevator cyclics are swapped for "None/1Servo" and "120" swashtypes, different from the other swashtypes and also different from other devo receivers I have. Thus swapping the wire connections for Aileron and Elevator servos on the rx1202 works - or swap the cyclic mapping on the mixer for Aileron and Elevator also works.
I now have the model settings working perfectly with the rx1202 receiver for my trex 450. Using 3gx fbl controller also now works with it. (Also tried my microbeast fbl controller and it's perfect).
Here's my working mappings using "120" swashtype, on the mixer screen:
