Changing Models was created by MakDaddy
This is just a minor complaint, if one could call it that, or rather it would be an enhancement. The more I use deviation the more I like it.
I was wondering if in the future, the ability to change models without having to click down into the menus.
Not that this is a big thing, it sometimes takes multiple clicks to change models. Wish there was a shortcut key or key combo to access it easier. Or is there?

You are talking about the DEVO 10 or 7E I suppose...
On the others you click on the name and select an other from the list.

Yes I have a Devo 10. Is it just the nature of the transmitter interface then?
The Devo 10 requires you to go to the model menu and find "load" then select the module you wish to use.

Yes, I guess.
However I agree, that it could be easier...
EDIT: I would definitely put that option into the main menu too...

But You know the option to define the 'Model setup' as a menu on the "Main page config"?
If you define 'Model setup' as the last item of the four menus the access will be via a long-press 'DN' directly to the 'Model Setup' page. One 'ENT' and you can choose the model you like.

Yep, that's not too many clicks either...
You have to step throw the list, which is much more anyway...

I have looked into the code because I had the idea of integrating the model selection in the quick pages, but this is no easy task because although it looks like an extra page it is internally not defined as such and so not usable as a quickpage target.

Rbe,
I think you could solve that by defining a new 'page' which is never actually linked into the menus but is available from the quick-pages list. Then have that page call the listbox.
Alternatively we could special-case the 'Load' case on the quick-pages, or even just add it as the 1st item in the menu. It is a reasonable request on the Devo10/7e since you cant get there from the main page.

I would put it into the main menu as 1st, however my vote doesn't count too much, because I don't have a 10 nor 7E...

I would be wonderful to have it on the first page (main) as first option as FDR noted, similar to what is used on the 9x w/er9x . Not that this is a major deal, but when you get 10 or more different models, there is a lot of button pressing to change models.
Thanks for looking into this guys.
Also while I have your attention
... I noticed when using a multiple rate setup, especially with elevons, you have to go through each channel or page, (in this instance 6 of them for each channel), and to add/change expo you have to edit each page. This requires changing 12 settings and saving each one. Again not a big deal as this can be done easier using wordpad++ but at the field it can take a while. Is it possible to put an expo selection for instance channel 2 Ail (left side) where you can reverse, change rates etc.. and put the expo there so one setting would apply to all? Just a thought or am I missing something that makes it easier?
Thanks for looking into this guys.

Have you tried using a virtual channel for this? Take you input stick as channel input, make a curve 1:1 and use the output where you formerly used the stick. Then you can change the 1:1-curve to anything else and are done.

RBE,
I have not tried virtual channel setup (I am still new to Deviation), the Elevon setup I used was in the template area from the Deviation forum. I will look into it. Thanks!

It has been a while since I mentioned an easier way to change models.
Is this something that can be incorporated in a future build?

MakDaddy, with 4.0.x you can change the Main page config > menu 1 to be Model setup. With it set like that a long down press goes directly to model setup.
If you don't want it to be the first page on a long down press then make it Menu 2 or 3 or 4.

This feature is called "quickpages". I always believed it was there since the beginning...

Yes but I don't think "Model setup" was there until you enabled it in 3.1.0
