Hi,
is it just me, or have anyone else noticed that using pots (AUX4 or 5) to drive a channel directly (gyro gain, etc.) drains the TX batteries like hell?
I am using 8xAA NiCd's, 2700mAh. This effect is there constantly, anytime I do that, I see this.
I have set my MIX sw to either give fix 90, 70 and AUX5 to the gyro gain port.
(for testing)
If I switch to the pot, it is draining like 1/100th Volt every second :-(
That effectively nullifies a fully charged battery pack in 2 minutes or so.
As soon as I switch back, the draining stops, sometimes it even crawls back a bit :-)

Before releasing v4, could you please check this?
I am using the August nightly (which was the latest version for a looong time ;-).

Well, I can test it only with my Devo12, but might be different there.
Did you see this big drain with special values of the dials (most left/right) or does it seem to be independent of the position?

I am travelling now - don`t have the tx with me.
I have posted a few ini`s and they have not changed since then... any of them will do, this is general for me.
I`ll check for pot position... the gyro sense is normally at a high (60-90) position.

I looked into your old posts and found a ini for the HK Rex (attached ;) ).
From my side no draining when switching to MIX2. Even continuous operation do not drain the batteries. I am using the latest build.

If you have not tested yet I would recommend to change to AUX4 and retest to exclude a damaged pot.

I've tested with my Devo12 for more than an hour - same voltage drop if AUX2 is used or switched away (about 0.11V/h). So I believe in general it should not matter if an input is used or not.
If the resistance of your pot is too low it could drain a reasonable amount of current. Normally a current reducing resistor is between the pot's middle pin and the input to avoid damage to the port, but I am not sure if Walkera has spent the money for it...

I have replaced it the same day I got the unit, to the same type.
Later on I put the original back, as I could refurb it.
Let me check for the resistor...
